Thanks for sharing! Actually gonna share this with my French students (learning English) in Angers. They'll probably be impressed to hear about their town (in English) from your perspective (and of those you interviewed)! Will let you know how it goes! 😉

I'm a super old fart but I have friends getting married nearby. Just wanted to know is it easy for pedestrians to walk over the bridges? We just did Paris the fall before COVID (me for about the 9th time). We are big on museums, gardens...heck pretty much anything. Looks like lots of English spoken there though we know a smattering of French. Just really wanted to know how easy it is to cross the river on foot. Thanks.

Bit of a late reply but here goes. Angers has a lot of bridges. Most are easily crossed by foot. The other side of the river Maine which runs through Angers is also a fascinating place to visit. Also, if you don't feel like walking, take the tram from Angers, it traverses all the way from Angers-Roseraie to Avrillé-Ardenne. There is simply too much to see in a day. Arm yourself with some 'what to see' information first and plan a route.
