Loved the unskippable ads in the middle of the first song really helps the bridge from the verse to the chorus

I am so in love with Angie... Every song is just so relatable. Lyrics are sublime and the voice is just perfect. Can't wait for the next album. Hope she always retains that real, raw, insight and expression.

So, I was listening to the audio for this while on the way to work this morning, and during the part where she was describing the influence of female artists at the Newport Festival, I got passed by an old Chevy truck that had a bumper sticker that read “I love guns and titties,” among several other right wing decals. Face palm.... Anyhow, I hear a lot of Annie Lennox, PJ Harvey, and Florence Welch in this young lady, and those are some great reasons for me to listen. Keep singing!

I can't let you sweep me off my feet just yet When I've only just landed firm on the ground And I'm so tired of being messed around You've watched me shift my shape and fall into this mess Well maybe you could wait for me I'll do my best To get out of this dreary place I'll have to face this loneliness I've been hiding my tears from my mother and she She and my father still laugh together (?) See I'd like to have real love some day And I'd like to get past this heartbreak Soon I feel like I'm living when I smell his cigarette smoke Rich and bitter and yesterday I couldn't stop remembering him Oh what a waste of breath and time I've been hiding my tears from my mother and she She and my father still laugh together (?) See I'd like to have real love some day And I'd like to get past this heartbreak Soon I'd like to have real love someday And I'd like to get past this heartbreak Soon Source: LyricFind Songwriters: Angela Mary McMahon

Yes that was my first thought but IMO a more soulful version of Christie, I’m 69 years old and always on the lookout for new young artists who I can hold up as an example to the music lovers of my generation who insist that there has not been any good music since the 70’s
