About Angie Stone
Angela Laverne Brown (born December 18, 1961) known professionally as Angie Stone, is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and record producer. She rose to fame in the late 1970s as member of the hip hop trio The Sequence. In the early 1990s, she became a member of the R&B trio Vertical Hold. Stone would later release her solo debut Black Diamond (1999) on Arista Records, which was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America and spawned the single "No More Rain (In This Cloud)".
After transitioning to J Records, she released her second album, Mahogany Soul (2001), which included the hit single "Wish I Didn't Miss You"; followed by the albums Stone Love (2004) and The Art of Love & War (2007), her first number-one album on the US Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
Stone ventured into acting in the 2000s, making her film debut in the 2002 comedy film The Hot Chick, and her stage debut in 2003, in the role of Big Mama Morton in the Broadway musical Chicago. She has since appeared in supporting roles in films and television series as well as several musical productions, including VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club and TV One's R&B Divas, and movies such as The Fighting Temptations (2003), Pastor Brown (2009) and School Gyrls (2010).
Stone has been nominated for three Grammy Awards, and has won two Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards.[1] In 2021, she received the Soul Music Icon Award at the Black Music Honors.

You know the question he asked about multiple wives, I agree with Angie Stone's answer, she so eloquently answered that question. My thing will the man be able to take care of them as individuals and not as the same person, because they are different in every way, and rather or not he is capable of supporting each one emotionally, spiritually, and financially, and mentally at different levels. Also I agree with Cam when he says everyone may not be meant for marriage, their personal tendencies may not be able to handle the intricacies of married life.

@Keith Smith Yes very true, he was conversing with his but still had questions for God Almighty in his conversations, because he knew he hadn't sinned, which is why God, came on through, in chapter 38 and answered him, and broke it All the way down. But that's all I have to say. I'm not trying to debate. 😊

I said the same thing to a family member. If I get married I'm getting married for ME, not for you. I'm not putting on a production for you guys, and I'm not marrying someone because I've been with him for 2 years and YOU think it's time. I've heard people us the same excuse to get married that he stated "We been together so long." Ended in disaster.

Actually, God went to the enemy. He asked him has he considered His servant Job. The enemy didn't want to do it because he felt it would be useless. God asked him 3 times. It was on the 3rd time that the enemy said yes. This was AFTER God took away Job's children, livestock, lodging etc. Many people don't want to believe that God gave Job his first few misfortunes. Remember, His will is good and perfect even if we don't understand. Then God gave the enemy perimeters in which he can affect Job. In short it was for the testing of Job's love and loyalty so God could give him more. The enemy can do nothing without God's say so.

Those people in the Word who had "many wives" did what their sinful heart wanted. This was NOT what the Lord wanted. God created Adam and Eve as an example of what He wanted. One woman for one man. Everything else was what the wickedness of man wanted NOT God. God said FLEE from fornication. THE WORD IS CLEAR.

Thank you brother for bringing it out. The blueprint for marriage comes from Genesis. Genesis 2:22-24 King James Version 22 And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. 23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. 24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be The Messiah set things back in order: Matthew 19:5 Context 2And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there. 3The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? 4And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, 5And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? 6Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. its no right its no wrong because if we debate on old school vs new school we all just doing things a different way... cuz you ask a person well how many years you been married they tell you 50 years but have 6 different children with 6 different women outside the home.... the new generationo aint got time for that.... its not relatable! so its what works for you personally

Part II Cam, God warned Solomon about having too many wives. Too many wives brought him down. The New Testament gives 1 wife. I’m not condemning nobody! I personally think 1 wife or 1husband is enough! Look it up! Use the reference in the Bible to find it! It’s plain as it can be, that it’s just 1 wife, & 1 husband! ❤️💕🙏🤟🏼

Wrong if you take the title of Bishop or deacon in the church you should take one wife and why Solomon fell he was sleeping with strange women meaning they were women of other nations worshiping other gods that's why Solomon fell. A man can have multiple wives if he got his life in order has control .
@CodyCole80
@CodyCole80 Жыл бұрын
@@biggabar7048 Corinthians 7:12* Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own *WIFE* (Singular), and let every woman have her own HUSBAND (Singular). Let the husband *RENDER* unto the wife. ~~ A lot of men like the thought of having multiple wives for clout, not necessity. Many can’t even afford to provide for more than one wife. How many of these men look for their women to go out and get jobs? That’s a pimp, not a husband. Most hate the idea of taking care of a woman, which is Biblically what they’re supposed to do. A wife is a helpmate. How much do most men have going on that they need multiple women for help? In this age, most men can’t afford multiple wives even if it was permitted. 😏
