Hello Friends!
I made a grinder stand with a linear guide slide mechanism.
jisaku-koubou.com/downloads/a...
【Plan List】
jsk-koubou.stores.jp/
This jig is designed to use a disc grinder safely.
There is no need to hold down the material by hand, and the handle is ergonomic and easy to use.
The slide moves about 250mm. Wide materials can now be cut with high accuracy.
Epoxy resin and aluminum are used for the linear bush housing.
In addition, a thrust bearing is used for the rotating part, achieving high accuracy and smooth rotation.
The linear bush has a dustproof felt bush attached.
Thrust bearings have a structure that prevents dust from entering.
Thrust bearings are inexpensive and cost less than 600 yen. You can make it cheaper than it looks.

To paraphrase the Somali pirate in Captain Phillips, "Your jig, it belong to me now!" I've been thinking about something along these lines for some time now, but had never considered using the resin to stiffen the assembly. Once again, just brilliant and elegant solutions.

Hello SIR, You are one of the best in wood machining but not the best in scrap metal. For sawing, as for the file, the effort must only be on the forward part of the tool, the return must be "raised" so as not to wear out the file like the saw blade. This is one of the first things that apprentices are instructed to do. Even with good theoretical knowledge, I can't compete with you. Thank for all Sir

Pretty interesting ... Well .... really it's damn cool! I've been trying to think of a jig for either an angle grinder like this, or a bench grinder that would allow me to place a lawn mower blade on it, set the correct angle 30 deg. Then just allow me to easily slide the blade or grinder back and forth. Still thinking but this was really cool. I like the "clear" acrylic or plastic what ever it is/was. Very professional looking.!

If you make those bars long enough, this set up would be a sweet system for cutting ceramic tile with a grinder. Will definitely put this device to do in my bucket list. 👍

Are you a surgeon? So neat, tidy, precise, detailed and practical. A joy to watch and learn, thank you.

Wow! Amazing gig, perfectly done with a system mecanics of high grade. My only concern, if I can: you perhaps trap high temperature sparks inside the saw slot and burn your gig (and perhaps more?). 👌👍🖖

At first that was my concern too. But I think that the airflow that might keep a small fire going is too little inside the slot. And the metal topping also cools down the wood a little bit.

May not seem like enough air to combust instantly. More of a concern is if there was an ember that smolders. Maybe some saw dust nearby that was neglected and just before leaving for the day or to leave the area unattended. Had a personal experience with a smoldering ember that caused minor damage, but only because it was caught just in time. Just seed for thought.

You are a genius! I suggest that you patent and mass produce your inventions. With the millions that you will certainly make, build special vocational schools and teach hundreds, if not thousands, of gifted students to become like you-- or almost like you. God bless you more and more ❤👍❤.
