The very last time me and my dad went fishing we went offshore to fish for yellowfin tuna!! We ran 4 hours to get where the spot for tuna was and we trolled ballyhoo all day long without a single effin bite!! Just as we were starting to reel in all the lines I started seeing a few pieces of grass...just enough to keep me looking for more and in no time we were on a grass line with Mahi everywhere underneath it!! A nice Mahi hit one of the ballyhoo lines that hadn't been reeled in yet! After that one hit they all went nuts!! We used the first one we caught for cut bait and was catching them on that!! They were in such a frenzy I was dropping a shiny bare hook in the water and they were lighting it up!! We ended up catching a huge cooler full of those 10-15 pounders the ones perfect for eating...totally made a unbelievable day out of a sure bust...A couple weeks after that trip my dad passed unexpectedly so that day is one I'll never forget

The Crystal minnow is one of my go-to lures inshore - Tarpon, Snook, Redfish, Trout... you name it catches them all constantly. As you said in the video they can’t resist that lure. Reel it steady with with short, quick rod snaps and a tiny pause, then a few more rod snaps. Love me some fresh mahi, I grew up offshore and bassin, they switched to inshore. Redfish is hard to beat on the line or on your plate.

Good job ! Many years ago while stationed in hawaii for 3 years I caught hundreds of Mahi. I logged 700 days underway in that 3 years . That old 1466 class LCU could only make 6 knots but it was fast enough to get wahoo and Mahi on every trip. Their without a doubt the most beautiful fish in my opinion. Blue marlin are right up there too (caught a handfull). But for tablefare, mahi and wahoo are hard to top.

When I was 15 my parents and I went on a cruise to the Eastern Caribbean and my dad and I went on a fishing charter out of St Thomas and I caught four BIG barracuda and I topped it off with a 58" 28 lb Mahi Mahi. It was alot of fun to catch. I also caught a 7.5 lb blackfin tuna (which the captain said was really rare in that area).

I love the videos bcuz I grew up in Va.Beach fishing the Chesapeake Bay with my Dad sadly only til I was 10 yrs old bcuz he passed unexpectedly when I was 10...There wasnt anything I loved doing more than fishing...Unfortunately my fishing days were over for good so watching your videos def give me a much needed cheer up when I watch them and especially the ones where you guys have run into a grass line and it always starts out really slow and then bam the fish just go bananza and it's the most ridiculously fun chaotic first few minutes and then you settle in and slay them for awhile and then its over

Weed lines are great for big Wahoo, Cobia and Mahi. Some of the most fun I've ever had. Hitting the weed line with horsehairs and ultralights. Leave one in the water and fill the boat, but be prepared to do some scrubbing because the boats gonna be spotted red.

There is nothing better than getting your dinner bringing it back cleaning it and cooking it within a couple of hours later.. There is a quality to eating FRESH that is so Healthy for you and tasting so good also. When I was younger I use to go to my grandparents in Alabama who lived in the country and my grandma would go up the highway to a gas station/grocery store and get chicken killed that morning and take it home and fry it for dinner. You talk about being good and it also being grandma fried...fresh that chicken would melt in your mouth. Anyway.
