Welcome to this Anglesey, Wales boat trip and hidden brickworks vlog.
In this video, we head up to the beautiful island of Anglesey, North Wales and stop off in the town of Beaumaris.
In Beaumaris, we take a rig boat ride with, 'Seawake' down the Menai Straight, passing the famous Menai Straight Suspension Bridge and the Britannia Bridge.
We continue towards the north of Anglesey to try and find the old disused Victorian Brickworks, Porth Wen.
After a good explore around Porth Wen, taking in Anglesey's beautiful scenery, we head back home and sum up the day with a well deserved pint.

Welcome to the official Postcard & A Pint KZfaq channel.
Postcard & A Pint was thought up by my partner, Rachel & myself, Wills one day while taking our daily 1 hour exercise during the lockdown of 2020. All of a sudden, we were spending more time together, not working 6 or 7 days a week in the arts industry, and binge watching travel programs, and we were actually really enjoying it, and it made us re-evaluate what was important in life for us. Now back to working 6 or 7 days a week again, with very little time off, our happy time is getting out there on our brief times off together and making short travel videos that we are now sharing with you. It's just a bit of fun, and great for our sanity. Your support is hugely appreciated x

What an adrenaline-filled boat ride! It looked super fun, even though you didn't get to see any Puffins. It was a fabulous ride through the posh area. Interesting to see where Roger Moore had an apartment, and good to see a statue of Nelson, our local Norfolk hero. Loved the pretty coloured cows in the field by the lay-by. A bit frisky though! Wow, what a wonderful surprise the old brickworks was! So picturesque. Loved it all, except the Jane Bond joke at the end! 😉🙄 Have a great week! 🤗🍻

WOW! Those wealthy people get top views of the bay. Love the suspension Bridge and The Britannia Bridge., no! They certainly don't make them like they used to Rachel. Love the sculpture. Oh dear, give the cows some privacy, Rachel and Wills. Wonderful boat ride past the Bond home. Of course, you need to jump from boat to boat, at a high rate of speed, while being shot at, with sharks waiting below to have the full 007 experience! Watch out for the incoming helicopters too. It truly was a wonderful boat tour! Lunch looked delicious as well. We happy you chose to give us a tour of the old "Brickwork's." Loved seeing them and you relaying the history. Stickeys and tickling were fun. Thanks so much for bringing us along. Loved the joke Will's, but the "hate mail" will be in the post!

Puffins seem to be the hardest birds to see in the wild. There are tours like this in Miami. You get to see celebrity houses and where they filmed movies like Scarface. Your boat was much cooler though. When life gives you bread. Make a sandwich. Cheers to the Good Times! 🍻

Really do love North Wales, it's so gorgeous, but yes, sad that you couldn't visit the Puffins, but hey..there's always next time ;) Those wax melts looked so cool, my bedroom is full of them haha! Porthwen brickworks is absolutely stunning, love your drone shots, very cinematic and impressive! This place is a total gem, really enjoyed watching and it looks like you both had a great time which makes it even better. Oh my goodness, this looked like SO much fun!! And you got to live the James Bond dream, I'm envious hahaha the water views were gorgeous, turning every meal into a sandwich is a great idea and those cows, adorable hahaha oh how you guys always make me laugh. I have to say though, that old brick building; it's been a while since I've seen something so spectacular. It was beautifully filmed and a true experience to watch. Thank you!! Liked #33, This video has everything! History, sceneries, mansions, boat ride and now...drone aerial footages, finally!!! I certainly appreciate the drone aerial bird's eye views!! Do you guys like James Bond? 🤣 Your boat rides with tour guide was much better with the donut speed ride than puffins!!! Puffins gang would of took the drone hostage, anyway!!!

Thanks so much. It was a good tour. We do both like the Bond films. They’re old and don’t tick todays pc boxes, but they have their place and they always make us smile (and we love the locations more than anything!). We’ll see those pesky puffins another day! You had a great day out. The views as you rode the rib through the straits were wonderful. The old brick works was so beautifully located. It was great to explore here with you. We are enjoying? some really hot weather today, in the mid thirties. Could do with a little of your Welsh rain. Anyway I can catch up a bit. I could easily tell you are in Wales. Thanks so much. We’ll get those pesky puffins another day. Playing James Bond was just as much fun. We’re getting better at the drone, but still need so much practise. We haven’t been out yet when it’s not been windy! The drone is called Debs - after Debs most excellent adventures. We won a gift voucher in her competition and put it towards the drone. Definitely get on board with the sticky game - 6 is my record, but he’s got wise to me and knows when I’m up to it!! It’s not just chips that Wills does the butty thing with, chilli, spag bol you name it, if he could get it between 2 bits of bread he would!! Thanks so much for your kind words, as I said before, we do tend to save it in the edit!! But thank you for believing that we know what we’re doing! Now that's a church with a properly long name!!! This was wonderful, even without the Puffin Island visit. That brickworks was utterly breathtaking. Our city was a massive source of brick manufacturing at one time, and we have an old one here as well, though nothing quite as staggering as that. Absolutely spot on guys! This was just professional, as always, from start to finish. Spent and felt every decision you made on this day. Yes the puffin cancellation must have been a disappointment but i bet the family that wanted to get off more than made up for it. Id have enjoyed the adrenaline and how much it peeved them off just as much as you. Fish and chips and butties for lunch cant beat that. Loved the stories of how the all the places were hidden from the road and even Roger Moore lived in one, was getting Lake Como vibes from that, boy oh boy we need that holiday! We are both taken aback from how you put videos together. You have an incredible insight into what you can say on the day and what you can learn and professionally narrate later. We have so much to learn from you, but even if that day ever came we think you would still be our prime choice for big tv entertainment. This was great from start to finish and thats putting aside all you have been through. Your professionalism shines 1000% in every shot! ♥️

Thank you so much for such a lovely comment!! We were actually glad the puffins got cancelled as that tour was so good and it was a real adrenaline rush going that fast on the water. Thanks so much for your kind words about our videos, honestly we do wing it! The few times we’ve tried to plan, it’s gone so wrong that we’ve decided we’re better winging it! I think our theatre background certainly helps as we’ve both worked with directors who are so hot on pace and cutting the deadwood. We’re glad it translates over to our videos (but honestly guys, if you came out with us it would probably be a lesson on how not to do it!!! We could win gold on how to save it on the edit suite though 🤣). So you’re the other person that makes a chip butty!! 🤣. We definitely all need a holiday! I can’t wait to see where all of our groups trek off to this summer. It will make for great viewing. Thank you again 🍻

@@MagentaOtterTravels aren’t they just brilliant!? I think we all have so much to learn from them. Even if your subs are high like Dara or really comparatively exceptionally low like ours, this is the lesson in vlogging everyone needs. Its hard to separate actually enjoying Postcard and Pint videos and then actually going to school and rewatching them with a technical eye. This weeks vlog 101 lesson for us is it always feels like Rach and Wills are constantly talking to us. They are not. They sometimes record great dialog on the day but the bulk is narrated and you honestly never notice (well its taken us months of watching it to spot it). It just blends so absolutely perfectly. There was a beautiful tell from Rachel on this one which confirmed it, she said, and boy oh boy it suits us perfectly, we don’t know the history of this place yet but we will and it flowed deliciously and cleverly into the narration, confirming what we were slowly understanding. This is buried in the comments, but honestly guys its vlog school supreme and we learn more from any one minute from you guys than the best one minute we could find from our next favourite twenty youtubers!

@@GENerationXplorers I totally agree. I spend a lot of time thinking about this, since I want to do the best travel vlogs I can… even though I do different types of content on my channel, not exclusively travel vlogs. So many KZfaqrs will include a lot of footage of what they see in their travels, just putting music under it. Sometimes I think that’s nice, but sometimes I think it’s lazy. Don’t show me all these cool things in a museum or a castle or a city without telling me something about what I’m looking at. As you say, Rachel‘s seamless narration makes you keep watching and makes the time pass quickly because it is so engaging! A lot of times I get bored when there isn’t enough narration. But what I’ve learned from trying to do consistent narration is that it takes a ton of time! It is massively time consuming to do a proper travel Vlog. I don’t think most viewers who are not also creators understand that 😉
