Thanks for the post. Absolutely hilarious! A good time was had by all…. Including me just watching this insanity! It’s always a sad day when we lose a racetrack. Regardless of whatever the reason. Insurance, Real Estate values, or the people just not supporting the track. Couldn’t have asked for a better way to end a tracks existence, and this video will immortalize it. 👍🏻🍻😎

@@Flozman1982 ...as long as the "elite" dont own it, you'll never see those fk pigs suffering in any way, the scum got Long Marston dragstrip shut down in Stratford "for housing", we had been going there since '79, 10 years later not a thing has happened to it, the fkn control tower and everything is still there, miss that place.

I looked this place up on Google earth. My question is, don't you have a scrap metal recycling over there? Because when Google earth took its pictures how ever long ago. There is enough scrap metal on that property to be able to live a year off of without worry. Do the drivers just leave all their cars that they don't want anymore at the track

素晴らしいカオスなレースですね。 1周の間に1台は必ずクラッシュしますね。しかも最後の方の玉突きは面白いですね。みんなわざと突っ込んで道塞いじゃった。ちなみにフォードKaだけは分かりました

Well, it was their last race, so I guess most of the drivers decided to end it in style... Must say, it didn't look like any of them was trying to slow down before reaching the pile-up.

What is the reason why the track is closing? Some property-developer buy the land? Or is it to do with insurance. I have seen some races where the cars show very little in the way of preparation. Cars still with lights and glass for example. I have never seen a banger race where the cars ought to have had snorkels & the drivers wear wetsuits. More chance of hydro-locking a car than a follow-in .

Sold for housing it's in prime location and the lands worth more then a banger track! Banger racing is dead there is no money in it anymore! The reason the rules were more relaxed is because the owner at the time didn't give two flying DUcks about people's safety. The track was going down since 2013... it's a shame to see it go but it is what it is. Another one bites the dust. Arlington will be next

We now live in the woke age with health and safety brigade bringing down the cosh on such events with complaints about noise generated and traffic it draws to such events and the lack of properly fenced spectator areas, toilets and adequate shelter. It puts promoters under great pressure to satisfy the local authorities to grant a permit of intent. I've been there back in 1982 with investers wanting to come on board but any thing less than a 7 year lease is not worth the hassle and forget the "cash in hand" to the land owners just isn't viable and the lack of money through spectators.

when i raced f2 at barrow in furness shale track it was pouring down. the corner of the trackl was puddling up not only from the rain but from the tin shack toilet next to the track so every time you went round you got a face f ull of piss off the track lol
