@@AsifChoudharyjkthen its their problem. There is something called translator. The headphones the MPs used have translators enabled in them. If the MPs cannot understand English then its such a sorry state. There is a constitutional provision which allows an MP to address the House either in English or Hindi or in its mother tongue with the prior approval of the Speaker of the House. Imposing someone to speak in Hindi is no short of the Hindutva ideology. Shashi Tharoor in his book once said “ India is a thali, a selection of sumptuous dishes in different bowls. Each taste different and doesn't necessarily mix with the next, but they belong together on the same plate, and they complement each other in making the meal a satisfying repast” Lets be united as one. If you dont understand another language, there is always a solution rather than imposing the other to speak in Hindi

Freedom of speech also means that one should have the patience of listening to others. To interrupt in the middle of a speech unless it's "a point of order" is very unparliamentary. The question was not of giving recognition to Mary Kom, the question was neglecting her homeland Manipur by the BJP.

Northeast was never a part of history. A very touching speech. While i were young i asked the same question to my teacher. Now i understood whatsvthe reason. India has never consider northeast a part of them.
