With a special concert in their hometown Sao Paulo and an incredible live show, Angra celebrated the 20th anniversary of their 1993 debut album "Angels Cry" on August 25th, 2013.
Joined by Fabio Lione (Rhapsody of Fire, Vision Divine, ex-Kamelot) on vocals, the Brazilian melodic metal band performed their debut almost in its entirety, adding on top a couple of fan favourites as well as songs from their most recent recordings for a over 20 songs containing setlist.
"Angels Cry -- 20th Anniversary Tour" will be released on 2CD, DVD and Blu-ray on January 31st, 2014 via earMUSIC.

Ignacio Gallarati until Rafa will be the main composer Angra will be not dead. I consider Secret Garden and Omni two pretty solid albums, for me much more inspired than Aqua.

Só eu que adorei o Angra com o Lione? Praticamente todas as músicas do Angels Cry ficaram boas na voz dele, a presença de palco impecável e carisma 100%. Eu particularmente, gosto do whistle (aquele grito) dele, pra mim virou uma marca do Lione.

This version is the first time I have ever listened to this song last year. It is one of my favorite Angra songs from their whole catalog. This show is the first thing I got by Angra last year on the 2 CD version. Since last year I have gotten all their studio and live albums, and I really enjoy listening to all of them. I have known about Angra for over twenty years, but last year on the day of Andre Matos's passing was the first time I gave them a listen. I regret big time that I did not give them a listen when I first heard about them, because they have become one of my all time favorite bands ever. I love all their lineups, and all three lead singers they have had are all PHENOMENAL to me.

Um dia inesquecível :3 Não entendo esses fãzinhos do Angra. Quando era o Edu: nossa, tá cantando mal pra caramba, não serve pra cantar as músicas do André, só desafina. Quando ele saiu: Edu foi a melhor fase, canta muito, Almah tá melhor que Angra. Por que esse mimimi do caralho seria diferente com o Lione, não é mesmo? Se o que esse povo só sabe fazer é reclamar.

Fábio Lione é um dos vocalistas de Metal mais admirados e respeitados do meio, passou por bandas consagradas internacionalmente (Rhapisody, Vision Divine...) tem uma estrutura vocal mt boa e personalidade no palco, é uma honra tê-lo na banda brasileira Angra, pelo menos é o que os fãs deveriam pensar mas tem gente que coloca defeito em tudo. Nunca fui fã do Angra mas conheço a fase do André (por sinal mt boa) e Edu mas acredito que agora com o Lione no vocal a banda ganhou uma nova cara e está mt mais interessante.

Gosto é gosto... Eu não gosto desse estilo mais erudito que a voz do Lione traz. É inegável que ele é um grande cantor, quanto a isso não há dúvidas, mas não acho que o Angra seja a banda certa pra ele. Vamos ver como evolui, mas acho que, por enquanto, não encaixou.

Na verdade, se não for com o Andre no vocal,nenhum vocal encaixa nas músicas antigas . Vocal dele é único. Nem James Labrie nos anos 90 e nem Kelly Sundown conseguem alcançar esses falsetes do Andre, pq eles são mais peito e cabeça. Esses são os caras q já vai chegar mais alto sem falsetar. Agora, com ele tá muito melhor do q com o Edu infinitamente. Graças a Deus Edu tá feliz no Almah q é o estilo dele e todos ganharam , inclusive nós fãs. Sem falar q é uma honra ter o Fabio aqui. Esses quase whistles q ele faz são muito todas !

+Luan Soares te respondo por 1 motivo lione é um vocalista excepcional, porém veja que os vocalistas que antecederam ele deixaram uma marca para os fãs mto grande , no caso o André matos, e o Edu não é questão de simples técnica vocal , mas sim a vontade de ter esses grandes ídolos e históricos de volta ao angra. Eu sinceramente assim como fã do angra, sou fã do andré matos ,e sim gostaria mto de ver o andré subir ao palco com o angra seria muito foda! e é isso amigo!

Cara, que feeling! arrepiei na hora que o cara começou a cantar, Rafael incrível, com ótima presença de palco. Por favor parem de ficar querendo eleger melhor vocalista, cada um é bom de um jeito, seus comentários chorando pq a banda mudou não irá trazer seu vocalista preferido de volta, portanto curtam a música!!! que ao meu ver.. é uma verdadeira obra de arte.

cOMO é bom ver e ouvir as músicas com Angra cantadas com maestria e perfeição. Fábio Lione é um monstro, pra mim um dos melhores vocalistas de power/melodic metal de todos os tempos. Mesmo tendo que cantar músicas que não foram compostas para a voz dele o cara consegue se sobressair aos vocalistas passados do Angra e canta tanto as músicas do andré quanto do edu.

Quando o Lione entrou pro Angra eu torci o nariz! Mas agora compreendo que foi uma escolha muito bem acertada! Pois ele é um músico bastante experiente, técnico e carismático, sem contar que essa mescla Itália/Brasil foi bem interessante. Vamos deixar esse MIMIMI d lado, pois nem o André canta essas músicas como antigamente! (O que não é nenhum problema, pq ele já fez muito pela música brasileira). Que continuem adiante! I didn't like the mix of this DVD sounds very compacted and plastic sounds, doesn't sound like it should a LIVE concert, as known when you record a DVD you re-record the songs in a studio again, you can't even hear the people singing throughout the DVD.

I was there in this concert and in my opinion it's disrespectul with all the fans take out our voices during the songs. All of us gave a huge vibration all the time in this show. Every single song. I really like Angra. This show was amazing and unforgetable to me. But I'm disappointed with them with this disrespecful edition on the DVD. We deserved better.

fabio lione doesnt fit so well in angra so its necessary do some adjust and correct his intonation on proo tools my friend

I watched this DVD some time ago, and since the first moment I felt exactly the SAME thing, In fact I came straight to the comment section just for that. Besides the fact that the audience noise is so low (I don´t mind much about that, just a bummer), but in some parts Leone steps away from the mic and you can still hear him, and it´s not the delay throws, and the instruments are perfectly played. It just doesn´t glue the whole thing together, imakes me wonder how much post production is on the final mix.

Não adianta essa galera reclamar do Lione, o cara é profissional, e mesmo se o Andre voltasse ele nao ia conseguir cantar da forma que vocês querem seus puto, as pessoas envelhecem e as cordas vocais junto com elas. Lione é com certeza uma excelente escolha mandou muito bem!
