That was a young Nutria. Nutria are lovely animals that I would never call a rat. The difference is the tail.

You did a good job here. There was still a lot of material left on the bottom but getting it wider will help slow any rebuild. To drain it to "normal" levels you need to remove the base material.

The beavers won't have the slightest problem rebuilding that. They'll do it overnight. You won't beat them.

Thats a big muskrat, you can tell by looking at the tail and the way it swims, rats swim like a snake like with that rat tail. Pretty good job on dismantling that monster dam. Hope you have a great day.

Beavers 🦫 Musk Rats And Nutria Rat 🐀 do look very similar then I nothiced the tail and yup GODZILLA RAT 😂

I am thinking it was either a big Nutria Rat or Musk Rat because the tail is too rounded.

Yes, of course, but I was referring to these specific instances. As we write, thousands are being imported to the west for the many benefits they bring to the right environment.@@baneverything5580
