And it was such easy fix. He just had to connect the yellow wire to the white. The black to the purple. And the blue to green. Some duck tape and problem probably was solved 🤔

48pluto Duct tape is conductive. You need something insulated like electrical tape. But you’re right, it wouldn’t be a difficult fix. Lol

It looks like there was a short in the wire, because he simply tied the wires together and allowed them to touch. This means that power only went through the wires and not the vacuum, and because there was no resistance/reactance offered, the power strip got really hot.

but the vacuum wasn't plugged into the power strip, he was plugging it in to the outlet on the counter.

Lol, I frequently feel like angry grandpa when shit breaks. The fact that he threw it outside and said here’s your little brother is the part where I almost piss myself. Then when he comes back to break it more is beyond funny. AGP is someone who could make anyone’s day better with a little cursing and a whole lot of destruction.
