I just wanna know how they manage to rush figures that are based off the movies over a decade old

McFarlane always cheaps out on the paint apps. It’s the easiest place to save money and still keep the articulation somewhat up to modern standards. The QC on this wave is spotty at best. I had to buy two Dark Knight Bales to cobble together one fully functional figure. The left leg broke off of one removing it from the plastic tray, and both figures had the bicep swivels glued in place. I think you're right about being worried about the long-term durability of these figures. Sigh...McFarlane doesn’t make products to last.

Tbh this is probably McFarlane's strongest wave. That's not saying a lot but now have a proper batman to go with the NECA Heath Ledger Joker

Trust the process and be patient. Here is a thorough explanation. Firstly, not a good idea to be yanking at the weakest point. You in fact have created several weak points if you’re pulling on the peg. This video is an excellent example of what not to do! The heat needs to be focused on the arm/wrist side and not the joint. I prefer the hairdryer method for this instance. If you have attachments, use them to focus the heat. What parts can you grab onto here with pliers? You think that little peg on the wrist? Or that chunky ball joint? The chunky ball joint, right? That will provide better leverage, but be mindful, you now have created a single weak point between the peg inside the arm and the ball joint. So guess where it’s likely to snap? Pull a bit, if there’s no “give”, put the heat back on. You’re testing for the “give”, no need to pull hard and force it. You’ll feel it with a bit of practice and patience. Dip just the wrist peg/joint in room temperature water if needed before each attempt of pulling, where the weakest point is specifically. You don’t want the joint/peg to heat up as much as the arm. If the joint heats up more than the arm, you’ll stretch the peg on the inside as you pull and end up destroying it. The idea here is to keep the peg/joint cool and the arm hot, so that the arm becomes the weak point and slips off and around the cool tough peg. The key and focus is the arm, that’s what we’re working on here, not the joint!!! Make sense? You can apply this concept/method to other small joints. *All of this isn’t really as important when it comes to the larger joints in the body. Best of luck. 🧐👍

It most definitely was. Most of the characters feel like after thoughts. Joker could used more deco on his outfit and at least a potato peeler accessory. Dent looks nothing like Aaron Eckhart. Scarecrow needed a fear toxin effect. Also don't @ me, but Bane is of Latin descent and Nolan just white washed him. So in my opinion we haven't seen the definitive movie Bane.

You missed the biggest flaw of Bane, McFarlane forgot to sculpt the scar that runs along Bane’s back in the movie, even Mattel were meticulous enough to factor it in their Movie Masters line.

The level of QC errors is so annoying like when I got the Battison version it had the unmasked collar for the masked version and the upside down torso

You gave yourself too much work, all you had to do was hit with a hair dryer for like too minutes so that it gets very soft and pull it out, but i agree that it shouldn’t be a problem for collectors, I’m just saying this as a somewhat experienced customizer.

Last Knight on Earth Bane build a figure was a problem. Endless winter frost giant build a figure was awful too. I heard Solomon Grundy’s got problems. They should just do $40 mega figures and stop this build a figure nonsense. They never get it right. They should fix the problems on this dark Knight Bain and release him on his own.

Man, you did the whole hot/warm water thing wrong. You are not supposed to let it 10 to 15 minutes inside the water. You are supposed to put it for a minute or 2 at top, so you can work the warm and manageable plastic as you want. If you leave hot water for 15 minutes, it will cool off and so will the plastic... And it will get hard again ): It totally works nice and easy if you actually warm the plastic.

Here’s a surprise, I just got my dark knight wave today and put the bane BAF together. Shockingly both pegs on the forearms were both put in the right way this time. So they McFarlane must received a lot of backlash from the first batch of Banes cos mine seems to have come together just fine. I’m loving this wave, especially the Batman, cos I’ve always wanted a 7-8 inch dark knight Batman figure in the display.

I had horrible CQ issues with this wave for sure. The Batman had his arm pop off at the bicep and no matter what I did I couldn’t get it to pop back in. There was loose joints alongside stiffest joints I’ve ever felt. Kind of all over the place. I wonder what happened with this wave!

Just wait for the bane with a trench coat. It would be better. They will release it before or during winter season.

Totally agree with this. Before the release, I thought this wave would be the peak of McFarlane's DC Multiverse - I ordered 2 sets of each fig and was very excited. For us in the UK, they probably wont be coming in until probably mid-late April so we have not had them in hand yet but after all the reviews I have seen, I'm very turned off by them. I have changed to ordering just the 1 set and even thinking of cancelling that. Very disappointing. A surprising step back for McFarlane

My doctor fate from the black Adam movie snapped at his wrist and all I tried to do was subtly swivel the joint so his wrist didn't look broken. I was gutted as I really enjoyed the movie and all the characters but now I'm hesitant to not only finish off that wave but I'm also not very excited for the prospect of getting any of the figures.. The ball joint on the ankle of the first batman comes apart constantly. The gold label batmans left leg came warped and cracked and I often think about just chucking it in the trash. And my latest issue with the blue hush batman is the ratchets in the ankles are off set making it very difficult to stand and balance the figure. So unfair really.. I love the line and want to see it improve and most the figures I want to buy this year are from mcfarlane but I don't want to hand my hard earned money over for substandard action figures that will quite likely have development issues.. Or even break... People can shit down my throat all they like but I very rarely come across these issues with hasbro products and never had a single issue with Mattels figures

Why are the QC Issues on these DC Multiverse figures keep getting worse? I have THREE figures that have joints broke on me even after I put them in hot water to loosen them, to the point that I chose not to preorder any future figures including the Dark Knight trilogy wave until I see reviews showing how good they are now. In the end, I made the right choice as the QC issues are still happening in these newer waves. At this point, even NECA does a better job than McFarlane when it comes to QC!

Aren’t they coming out with a stand alone bane figure with the winter coat or was that just a made up rumor

All of Mcfarlanes Batmans seen little rushed but I can forgive that because they are less expensive than other companies like neca and seem to have less qc problems compared to neca.

While Bane was a disaster, Two Face fig was an absolute masterpiece

I got a free batfleck from flash wave cause the head was not on , after buying the whole wave , they just sent a new fig and didn’t ask for a return it came in 4 days

If they widened the shoulder deltoid a bit making the shoulder / the top of torso being wider would help almost 100% but ya the joker is not as good as NECA

I don't know what it is, but Todd's stuff is just about a centimeter away from being the best figures in the 1/12 -1/10 scale family. He's just not quite there.

Well I dont have Scarecrow yet, so I dont know if I'm gonna have trouble with attaching Bane's hands to the arms, You did get a pair of hands on the very first time you assembled Band (I'm guessing) and had problems getting that inner peg out, I am not gonna do any of that, I'm just gonna pick the hand I like the most, attach it, and leave it, Sorry you had to go through soo much, My only complaint is Batman's arms should've been thicker, and I guess Bane's too, Another review guy showed that Batman's arms fall off at the bicep swivel, Well mine wont swivel at all,, in fact I think they are glued in place because of the fact that they fall off soo easily, Okay so I cant articulate the biceps, They are not gonna make another Bale Batman in this costume (I hope they do the Batman Begins costume, and maybe Liam Neeson ? ) But for now, this is the best 7 inch scale Bale Batman we're gonna get from McFarlane. (I have a 6 inch scale MAFEX that is great, but super delicate, and doesn't fit in very well on my Batman Wall that is all 7 inch scale figures) As for lack of paint details on Bane ? that is common on Star Wars 6 inch Black Series figures, so I'm kind of used to that, and plan to begin practicing my own repainting on some cheap knock off 1 dollar toys until I feel confident enough to add those missing paint apps, and I know, we the fans should not have to finish making the figure, That's their job, but it seems like getting figures made fast is in fact the most likely problem, On the good side, at least they sent you another Scarecrow just so you could get the Bane arm to attempt fixing, I'm surprised they did that, and you did get it done after a lot of stress, something I am just gonna leave it alone (When I get Scarecrow and Bane's arms) and not go through any of that. Good ranting, you had some very valid points, But I am just glad to be getting what they made, even with the flaws (Unless I cant get Bane's hands on the arms ? then I'll be ranting angry too)

All BAF from McFarlane should at least boil the parts with water once before assemble. 3-5 min is enough, assemble while still warn and the parts will fit. Sometimes (a lot) if you assemble out of the box, that will be pain.

I like this Bane figure and that's the only figure I want, so unfortunately I will have to wait for this wave to go on clearance, because the other figures are mostly throw aways in my opinion 😂😅

Oh banes wrist was stuck? Both my batman's shoulder pads were glued on so low it glued to his triceps rendering his upper bicep swivels static nothing none zip zero swivels I had to run an xacto blade up under both shoulder pads then slice through the glue to reveal the swivel it sucked

My banes right leg keeps popping out. Sometimes both joker arms and both batman arms pop out, not as much as banes right leg though. No problem with scarecrow or two face. I don't understand why the joker has a right handed fist. The last thing any joker figure needs is a fisted hand. He's not a fighter. Any batman figure needs to be far more articulated than what we've been getting, same with Spider-Man. They're both physically orientated. This line could've easily been the best line of the year but it was indeed rushed. I was shocked at how quickly I received my order. Two years into his DC multiverse line and there are still problems, mostly inconsistencies, one figure us great, the next one sucks. I guess McFarlane is taking on too much.

I don’t buy Mcfarlane the suck. Poor paint, terrible QC, terrible customer service, pinned joints, no thigh swivel they are toys that would be great in the 90’s. But lacking compared to every other toy company. Valaverse has pinless joints.

Even with the flaws of TDKR? What flaws? The movie is a masterpiece. The new age fools can try to nitpick it all they want but that will never take away from it's legend. It was the perfect end to the greatest trilogy of all time.
