Good day! Today, we're going to make another detailed video tutorial for different kinds of Suman that the Philippines has to offer. We're going to show a variety of these rice cakes wrapped in banana leaf that results to an aromatic, filling, and delicious snack. Enjoy!
Bulacan's Pride Suman Maruecos
Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups Coconut Cream
1 cup Water
1 cup Sweet Macapuno
2 swak packs (33 g each) Powdered Milk
1 1/4 cup Sugar
2 cups Glutinous Rice Flour
1 cup Rice Flour
1/2 tsp. Violet Food Color
2 tsp. Ube Flavoring
For the Filling:
1 1/2 cup Latik

4 cups Mashed Ripe Bananas
2 cups Rice Flour
3 cups Fresh Grated Coconut
1 1/4 cups Sugar

Ingredients:
500 g Glutinous Rice Flour
250 g Rice Flour
2 cups Coconut Cream
1 can (360 ml) Evaporated Milk
2 1/2 cups Sugar
2 cups Water
Crushed Nuts
For the Plain Flavor:
2/3 of the Mixture
1/4 cup Butter or Margarine
For the Chocolate Flavor:
1/3 of the Mixture
1/8 cup Butter or Margarine
1/2 cup Cocoa Powder

2 1/2 cups White Glutinous Rice
2 cups Coconut Milk (for glutinous rice)
3/4 cup Coconut Cream
1/2 cup Sugar
1/2 tbsp. Salt
45 g Ginger (sliced)
For Dark Glutinous:
2 1/2 cups or 1/2 kilo Violet/Black Glutinous Rice
4 cups Coconut Milk (for glutinous rice)
3/4 cup Coconut Cream
1 1/4 cups Sugar
• Suman Binalay
Ingredients:
1 kilogram Glutinous Rice Flour
3 3/4 cups Water
For the Sauce:
5 cups Coconut Cream
4 cups Coconut Milk
3 3/4 cups Golden Brown Sugar
2 pcs. (425 g) Coconut Meat
For the Slurry:
1/2 cup Cassava Flour / Glutinous Rice Flour / Cornstarch
1/2 cup Water
