@charliez0778 жыл бұрын
+Zodiac7649 dudes in the front heard it before it was released:) and actually I liked the song much better without the MGMG-like drop tho this is hardly a flawless version. I absolutely loved it when I heard it live and then they made it too dancey for me on the album. the part from 4:57 is pretty much flawless.
@Zodiac76498 жыл бұрын
Yeah I know (since this concert was like 2 years[?] before that album released). I was just referring to how their jumping kinda looked like they were expecting that build-up to lead into a huge drop, but once it mellowed out, they stopped like "Oooookay, nevermind." lol. That's just how it appeared though. And yeah, I agree. Although I love the album version, I like how this version keeps that steady orchestral kind of vibe; its relaxing as fuck lol.

This kind of music you have to feel inside. When u not feeling it, u think it sucks. The people in the audience feel it, you can see it on their faces, and they start to dance a little with it. I love this kind of music, because I feel it inside me :)

I have a particular fondness for these videos. The first time I ever heard these songs back 07. Still sing the old set of lyrics sometimes too. If you want to hear the album live put on your headphones, if you want to see something different and mindblowing see them live. This is when the material was fresh and new to them, Panda is still using 303s there, no lightshow either. I love hearing the barebones of their songs, fuckin amazes me how they build them in studio.

@Handlemcdaniel3 жыл бұрын
@@krusher181 I think the sound of that album has a lot to do with the co-producer they brought in, Ben H. Allen, who had a background in hip hop. The band said they brought him in specifically to help with the low end. So that probably had an influence on the discrepancies between the studio and live versions.

@Rael0505 The group have not done drugs since recording Strawberry Jam, and that album was completed before this show. As for "the guy with the drumsticks", he's just good ol' eccentric Avey, who never played high since 2004. It's easy to see why many would call this a poor performance but I got so familiar with this version of the song that I was initially disappointed by its MPP re-working. The instrumentals here are minimal and you sort of mentally implant your own block-rocking beat.

@Rael0505 If you wanna know what AC look like when on drugs then just look up a few of their pre-2004 concerts on KZfaq, most notably a hilarious rendition of "Essplode" that was done in 2001. And I don't know if they do "heavy" drugs. Salvia and a few psychedelic meds were their poison and Panda was experimenting with morphine back in 2004 or so but otherwise, they've grown up. And this set would be a mess when not played with a sober mind.

@NicoMD For me, this song is decent live. Vocals are occasionally out of key (which can be improved), but short of digital harmonizers, adding more vocalists, or using prerecorded tracks, there's no way to really achieve the studio layers. With that said, the studio vocals stunningly beautiful. In the end, I can live with this. OTOH, every live version, that I've heard, of Lion in a Coma has terrible vocals, which kills it for me.
