The Wendigo, Centaur and Behemoth are actually mutated humans. So if you were going to poison a Wendigo, who is a cannibal Human that mutated, you would have to give it Human flesh.

Believe it or not, the Deathclaw is mostly descended from…the Jackson’s Chameleon. So they’re not only nine feet tall with claws the length of your forearm, but they can also turn invisible. Good luck!

The lore behind the deathclaw, is that it was the result of genetic splicing. Desirable traits from all sorts of different animals (nobody's ever bothered to specify what all is on the list) got spliced onto the Jackson's Chameleon.

"Bear" traps aren't actually named because of WHAT they catch. They are named after the man who first made ans sold them. Purely be COENCIDENSE, they were used to catch bears and since they were both called the same thing...well...you see were I'm going with this right?

One thing I've learned, and feel free to call me wrong, is that most predators don't want a fight. Wolves, mountain lions, they'll back down if you seem threatening enough to not be worth the cost of entry. It's the big herbivores you need to be careful about. Bison, longhorns, cows, even deer, and especially the bulls and bucks. They're looking for a fight. Startle or injure even a full grown wolf, and they'll run. Startle or injure a bull, and they'll splatter you across the grass, even if they have to chase you first.

0:19 Even for Fallout, Deathclaws are real weird: the baseline is supposedly a jackson's chameleon, but they only have two horns and even female deathclaws have horns as well. Jackson's chameleons are also one of the few chameleon species that give live birth, instead of laying eggs, yet Deathclaws seem to have completly ditched this and lay eggs that weigh around 7-12 pounds. Most of them also do not posess chameleons ability to change their color and those that do, seem to do it very randomly in all colors of the rainbow. Their posture is also more reminiscent of a primate like a gorilla than their quadruple ancestors.

for fans of fallout and fans of giant monster pets there is a mod that allows you to build catch stations that will spawn in random levaled creatures and then you get to tame them and make them your ally, its really fun there are cages to catch death claws scorpions mirelurks dogs even rad roaches damn near every enemy gets a cage and once it catches an creature you repair it and can use it again to catch even more. highly recomend this mod for building your own pet sanctuary in your settlments.... and for unleshing your hidious monster hoards on to the pitiful unsispecting bandits of the wastes. >:3

I'm a pest control technician, and I can say for sure my job would be a lot more exciting (and terrifying) in Fallout. I think the main thing I'd be focusing on would be eradicating nests. I'd keep a good supply of potent poisons ready (like way more powerful than what we actually use), I'd have molotovs and maybe a flamer if I can find one. And I'd keep a shotgun and maybe even a backup pistol on hand. Probably a sturdy club, too. I'm thinking a baseball bat, cut down to a couple feet long and reinforced with a metal cap.

Ironically enough, the ogua is the most peaceful out of all the cryptids in Fo76, at least with me. Evsn without any animal related perks (which still wouldn't work on a beast like it) unless i really gt up close and personal, the ogua will just ignore me. No, the problem is the blue devil, that furry bait f*ck will always charge at me from like halfway across the map if so much as it perceives my potential presence.

the deathclaw is not a sheep, its not even a mammal, its actually a jackson's chameleon, mixed with other animals, it was genetically engineered in the fallout world to as a cheap replacement of US soldiers in combat. the basic deathclaw is technically isn't mutated at all, though other variations of could be. as for size they are 9 to 10 feet tall, and the animals they are based on is considered aggressive, easily stressed, generally tending not to like other animals, or being handled by people, making its bioengineered version highly dangerous, and while considered one of the toughest tings in the fallout word , it wouldn't even make my top 5, even of mutated creatures alone... because of their sheer size and seeming inability to jump or climb they are easy to both hide from or to attack from position that makes them harmless to you.

I always thought of Yosemite Sam's catch phrase, "Great horny toads!" whenever I see a Deathclaw. Personally thought they were super-mutated horned toads/lizards. =) Thing about walking slowly towards the big horned sheep is... that don't work with meat goats; why would it work with mountain goats? They'll just ram you, anyway (no pun intended), and think it was a fun game rather than a challenge. We used to raise goats. I gots da' knowin', and a messed up hip, leg and foot from it. Had to invest in a cattleprod because of it to keep it from happening after that. =( Yeah... toss a net over a radscorpion to stop it. I guess this is just more proof that you shouldn't listen to the 'experts.' This one's just got bad advice all around. =/ Okay, his advice for running across a bear: Run away. From the creature that can run up to 40 miles an hour. Usain Bolt, fastest human on the planet, runs 23-27 MPH. I'd like to challenge the Mythbusters to toss Usain into an arena with a grizzly bear and test that theory there, buddy. =) An extra tip on picking up a turtle; if you can lift it with the head and tail pointed right or left rather than the tail facing you, DO! Had to get one out of the road last year and found out they can get terrified when picked up (can't blame 'em, they don't wanna' get smashed into rocks by eagles and such) and it fired a jetstream of piss out the back. Had to finish driving home wet and smelling of turtle pee. Never had a problem picking them up from behind like that before, so it was a new learning experience for me. =)

Deathclaws don't care about "size" they absolutely will charge a Behemoth and in some cases will win that fight. In a post-apocalypse world with mini-nukes, and power armor...they call them Deathclaws. There's a reason that's the name, because they have huge claws, and they scare the Grim Reaper.

ok buddy your advice with the Deathclaw would get you killed as Deathclaws average 12 to 15 feet tall, & possess Chimpanzee level intelligence & are Hyper Carnivores with some omnivorous capacity. Additionally SOME Deathclaws are Human level intelligence & can communicate in English, So the Proper deathclaw advice, is 1 have a partner in hiding with an ANTI-TANK Infantry Sniper rifle then Break ocer 7 say hello if it resonds in greeting nagotiate if I roars & begins to line up its attack Take that thing out!. Yao Guai do NOT have ANY FORM of MANGE they are simply black & Brown bears suffering from either Ghoulification(look up Ghoul lore in fallout as this does affect animals too not just humans) OR severe nonfatal Radiation Radiation poisoning hence the hairlessness & burns. Lastly the Mole RAT is NOT a MOLE its a Mole rat! Naked Mole Rat to be specific & mole rats(IRL) are resistant to certain poisons so common over the counter rat or rodent poisons are not even going to affect the population. Flooding a mole rat warren is the best way to kill them off with certainty as mole rats tend to not leave their burrow networks as they are 99% subterrain dwellers. are you truly an animal control officer? cause you should know those basic facts about real mole rats, I'll grant you the given on Yao Guai because its presenting like a case of mange but its not, & at first glance your assumption about Deathclaws would be correct if it was as dumb as modern large reptiles, but reading into the lore & playing fallout 1, 2, 3, NV, & 4 you get more of an understanding of the intellect behind this 12ft tall agile speed tank of a Jacksons chameleon.
