Animal Crossing - Exclusive Favors in Each Game

Күн бұрынMany villager requests occur in multiple Animal Crossing games: Making deliveries, catching a bug or fish, asking for medicine when sick, etc. But this video showcases favors that were limited to one game (in the core series). Some may be similar to more popular favors but with a twist, while others are truly unique (such as the ball, lost key, petitions, and time capsules).
Treasure hunts may be in the GameCube game, but in a very different format. They are not favors or requests like they are in New Horizons. On GameCube, it's the bulletin board (not a villager in conversation) that will alert you to the buried item. And there's no time limit or need to return the item to be opened. You just dig it up and keep it.
Some favors that appear in multiple games include hide-and-seek (City Folk, New Leaf), house visits (Wild World, City Folk, New Leaf), and lost items (New Leaf, New Horizons).

@@nickk3077 yeah, i’m revisiting wild world after years of not playing. i started playing it in 2008... it seemed fine back then. but now, it’s just. wow! it hurts my eyes

Worst part about the favors in Gamecube is when they ask you to get something from someone all the way across town, and then turns out that villager lent it to someone all the way back on the side you were originally at.

That happened to me when I transferred my save file from dolphin to nintendont and you can't really start in slot b in that.

They also keep asking me to bring stuff to Chico, who moved out, and if I accidentally hit "yes" then I have to reset my Gamecube because I’ll be stuck with the item no matter what, and then I have to get a lecture from Resetti

Once I brought Tangy a ball. She was mad at me for pushing her off the bridge (she was in the way and I couldn't cross!) She had the angry animation on but then noticed the ball and thanked me with an angry face. RIGHT after scolding me! My girlfriend and I lost it Lol!

I remember my sister and I fishing out villager’s keys out of the river almost constantly when we played City Folk as kids. The time it took was so varied, it could be the first fish you caught or take actual hours of uninterrupted fishing to find it. Very frustrating sometimes, but overall we still liked doing it.

I remember when I was little and I would always agree to find the villager’s key, but I didn’t actually know that you had to fish to find it, I thought it would just be on the ground somewhere for some reason, so I guess I only ended up finding their keys a few times. Poor villagers, they never got back into their houses I guess.

Every 2-3 days one of my dumbass CF villagers loses their house key. It's funny too how they react based on personality; the normal villagers will be all shy and polite asking you for help, while the peppies are like "I LOST MY KEYYYY THE WORLD IS ENDING YOU HAVE TO HELP ME PLEEEZZZZ" XD

You forgot to mention that sometimes villagers in Population Growing will ask you to build them a snowman in front of their house. This is still a good video though. Thank you for making this.

Also I mentioned that in ACNH 2.0 visitors can now visit your homes. In the older games, when they want to, you have to set a time for them to do so. And it should not be immediately or past 12 AM. In NH, it is immediately.

Jeff with another great video comparing all the animal crossing games. I actually learned about a request despite playing animal crossing for so long! It was the accf request to relay a message to another human player

Gret idea for a video. My favorite is the message that one player has to give another player in City Folk. The borrowed items in Gamecube got annoying because it was almost always a villager who wanted to get their item back from another villager who was next to them and the other villager gave the item to a villager who lived across town who then gave it to someone else. What would be in a book or on a videotape that half of the town has to see it?

Just wanted to let you know that in Wild World, a villager can challenge you to find a bug/fish that is more rare than theirs. They don't reveal their fish until you find the fish.

You know, during the borrowed item task, why DO the villagers that borrowed the item allow ANOTHER villager borrow said item? Don't they need the owners permission first?...then again, the villagers act pretty rude in the first game from what I've seen. Whoa, hold up! You got a Spaceman Sam from a COMMON BUTTERFLY?! .o. That key task in City Folk, is similar to the lost item quest in later games. (Edit: so...will the villager that lost their key won't be able to enter/be inside their house that day or something?) Oh boy, having played New Leaf as my first game in the series, I remember collecting signatures for my villagers (which had strange petition names at times) & burry time capsules, the later being rare pretty rare. And wasn't there also a treasure hunt in the original? Well ok, it wasn't a task like it is in New Horizons. Nice video Jeff. I look forward to another video from you soon. I have a question though: which of these exclusive tasks do you enjoy the most?

If you don't find the villager's lost key, yes, they will stay outside the rest of the day. My favorite is probably either the ball in GameCube or the fetch-a-villager in New Leaf. There's often some unique dialogue for those situations, and it's fun to see a villager get annoyed that they came over for such a trivial reason.

I wish I could play the original animal crossing but I don’t have enough money for it... Besides, I wouldn’t get to play it much because my grandma is the one that owns the Wii. Anyways, thanks for the video! I think this video is great!

Yes but some of the older Wii models are backwards-compatible with GameCube games, so I’m assuming that’s what they meant.

Is it just me or are those favours kind of pointless? Some can be tedious like catching a certain fish and the rewards are almost worthless. A few hundred bells? Thanks, almost enough to pay off the debt.

It could have been a complete masterpiece of a game if they had just put in some effort with villager dailogue and didn't bread crumb missing content. So much missing stuff. 😕

Honestly, New Horizons might not be as good as the older games to some people but I personally think it's a good addition. I'm excited to see where they go with the new features it added. It would be nice tho if the next game didn't just focus on customization and also focused on the villagers having an actual personality. It'd be perfect!
