Today we are breaking down the top 20 things to do everyday in Animal Crossing New Horizons.
We begin by looking at all the tasks and basics from a typical daily rounds, before looking at even more tasks you may want to do if you have time when playing New Horizons.
However, if you're anything like me, sometimes you just want to chill and enjoy Island life. Plus it's not a competition, everyone plays differently 🤪
With that said, if you're new to the Animal Crossing franchise, or you're looking for more things to do, this video will definitely help you.

Just a correction, it seems you can only get a maximum of 4 new fossils each day, however if you miss any on previous days you can find up-to 2 additional fossils, totalling 6. I hope that makes sense 🙂 Thanks everyone for confirming that.

How about a video on what to spend copious amounts of bells on? I know a lot of people get burnt out on the game once they pay off their debts to Tom Nook and they realize that 80% of the game was about making and spending money.

YES bitch!! I finally got one from my local Argos about 3 weeks ago but it was an absolute MIRACLE and I was having to run my lap top all day and night with sound alerts to tell me about any restocks for about 2 months

4 additional notes to the video: 1. There are only 4 fossil spots per day 2. Bury 10,000 bells in the glow spot for more profit. 3. Sell the wasps you catch from the trees. There are 5 total per day which is a gain of 12,500 bells. 4. Only up to 15 non-fruit bearing trees per day will drop bells and 2 non-fruit bearing trees drop furniture. Also daily :)

@Chase Wakelin for argument sake let's say if you bury 100 bells, like you said, you get 3000 in return (which I believe is incorrect) and since you didnt clarify if that meant 1 or 3 bags of 3000 I will assume the higher amount of 3 bags... this still is less than when you bury 10000 bells. 3000x3=9000-100=8900 profit 10000x3=30000-10000=20000 profit 20000 > 8900

? In Hong Kong, many people charge like 1 nook miles tickets to visit someone’s island with really extreme turnip prices, and I’ve made 70 million xddddd and 12k isn’t a lot at all

I always start with a full island sweep for branches, shells, weeds, and fossils. While doing this, I check in on my flower hybrid and spawning gardens and replant any flower buds that grew in the wrong place. I also hit all the rocks as I go and pay attention to bugs and fish around me. I'll talk to each one of my villagers, check in at the nook stop for my bonus miles, hit up the stores, and then finish with some balloon watching.

Daily. -Chopping wood is another thing to do every day. -Two weeds should spawn in your town every day, so you can go out and find those once a day. -Checking the "hot items" at Nook's Cranny is a great way to help you know what to craft and sell in order to earn the most money. -At night, you can check to see if Wisp and/or Celeste are in your town.

@@LizWroten If you want different color variations, you need to trade. The actual color is randomly set for your own island, means if you have a white surfboard, you'll only get that white on your own island. Every Switch has a different randomly set color.

Only 4 fossils spawn per day if you pick them up every day. And only 2 weeds spawn a day under the same requirements

I just do wedding day, rocks, and catch some fish, and collect diys and check the stores, do the mailbox, then order from nook shopping... and visit the visitors

I do most of the things you listed, except a bonus thing I do is do all the nook mile quests with x5 or x2 bonus miles and then just keep doing the quests until I get something I don't feel like doing like planting trees and more flowers or if I'm stuck on catching a specific fish/bug. And lately been going to Harv's island for wedding photos lol

I buy the seeds/nursery trees and plant them on a mystery island. Still counts and it's a fairly low bells to miles exchange rate.

Daily. I have been playing only since end of October. However, I did play on the Gamecube and Wii. It is fun seeing how far the game has advanced. I did not know many of these tips. Thank you for the video. I look forward to playing for a long time. I am 74 yo. And still love the game.

One thing I always do daily is chop wood. I made a cool lumberyard so I can shake the trees for the daily items and wasps and then I chop wood since that is also a daily task. Then I craft wood items and sell them for money everyday.

I save all my wood and rocks, wait for them to be needed for a hot item, then when you've got 600 softwood and a hot item takes 3 softwood you can make a bunch of that item... That'll get you 4 times the profit from selling the wood alone.

After checking my mail, I check the nook mile+ tasks. If they give me a change outfit task, I go back inside and change. If they give me catch bugs, I shake all trees and get the wasps. I hold off on chopping wood tasks until after that. I also try to hold off selling or buying items until I get the buy/sell tasks. Most of the tasks cover a lot of the daily chores discussed in this video, so it's an added bonus of getting miles for it.

my routine is pretty similar. I check my mail, neaten my flower garden, go around my island sweeping all tree branches, shake all the trees, dig fossils, plant money tree, pick shells and fruit, store the wasps and other expensive insects for flick, assess and donate new fossils, sell all the fruit and duplicate fossils, talk to villagers, check turnip prices, nook stop and recycling box and hit the money rock. ☺️

The ACNH.Guide app has a customizable daily checklist! It helps me remember which rocks I've hit and which villagers I've talked to. It's super helpful.

Thanks for quality content. 👏🏽👍🏽💯 Sooo, I have a 5 Star island atm, and my routine is. My Routine -Check my Mailbox. -My house is secluded smack dab in the middle of the map surrounded my waterfalls and is split with a Right section and Left Section. So I usually walk down a land bridge I made and jump to the right of the map and... -Make my way through residential district and talk to the neighbors who’re indoors. (For DIY) -Visit rock garden. -Make my round to residential services, for nookpoints+to summon an amiibo camper. (I have atleast, 30 amiibo cards, and. Every villager has a DIY that can possibly be new or repeats.) (Walk around talk to my villagers as I go, My island is a based off a simple looking town, with a Market District , Boardwalk, Playground +more) - Go to Nook’s Cranny (Turnip Stonks) -Head up to Campsite to visit amiibo camper. -Water Flower Gardens(These gardens are in the upper left of the map so it’s a good start too...) -...look for the DIY bottle -Find fossils -Sell fossils. (I’m missing just one more fossil in my museum x_x so I usually get duplicates and sell all 5) This routine takesme an hour and a half, and usually finish an hr before i have to leave for work.Nice way to start my day before I have to deal with Customers 😪

A few things i like to do daily that werent mentioned in this list : 1- hunt for the 2 pesky bits of grass that grow everyday on my island. (gotta keep that ground clean. Take some notes, Harv !) 2- take a coffee at Brewster's place (especially when i get that task as a nookmile mission) while taking my RL coffee during breakfast. XD 3 - Dive to find a scallop for Pascal (i mean, come on ! Our cool otter bro needs his daily scallop !) and get a precious pearl or valuable mermaid furniture from him as a reward. 4 - go on a mystery island trip with Kapp'n. Its basically the same thing mentioned in the video except it costs half less nookmiles and may lead to glowing moss and vine materials. Only down side is theres never any villager on these tours. 5 - harvest some "seasonal" material : depending on season, i get a stock of furniture that wont last for the whole year, like Spring bamboo, snowflakes, acorns.. (i collected sooo much cherryblossom petals in only 10 days, its INSANE !)..

Although i have completed my fossil collection i still dig them up and get the assessed by blathers since you can get some nook miles (+) for that, so i would recommend digging them up even if you have completed your collection. :)

I also collect sea creatures daily. They are worth a ton of bells and you need the pearls you can get either from the Otter by giving the scallop or on the bottom. The Otter will also give you items or DYI recipes

usually instead of ending and saving, i just turn the switch off. when doing that ive never found more than one bottle. the next time, i decided to end and save and came back later. then, i found two more bottles. i dont know if this gives more bottles, but it worked for me.

My daily routine on ACNH is check the letterbox, then water all the flowers on the island, then check Nook and Cranny for turnip prices and check what's up for sale at the same time, then head to the terminal, add funds to the loan from saving account, greet every villager, check the fashion clothes for new stock, then I do bug hunting, fishing, hunting for bottles and shells on the sand, fossil finding and assessing plus selling more stuff, repeat the process until I get bored

I usually do a handful of my dailies at once. After checking my mailbox I wander around my island watering flower patches that I'm using to work on hybrids, hitting rocks, and looking for fossils to dig up. I will usually find the golden dig spot at this time and plant 10,000 in it, and collect my earnings from the tree I planted a few days before. By the time I'm finished with this I have usually also caught some bugs on the way and have a decent amount of bells in my pocket. I use the bells I earned at Nook's Cranny and Able Sisters if there's anything I like, and then go around to shake trees and check the beach and houses for DIY recipes. This takes me around 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on how many flowers I have to move. Unless I plan to keep playing, I then check to make sure I've made my self-imposed quota of 50,000 bells and deposit that into my savings account. Then, I'll shut it off until I feel like playing again.

An easy way to make bells: When you are shaking the trees on your island, there are going to be up to 5 wasp nests.You can get a good amount of bells from selling the wasps you catch (they sell for 2,500 bells each). There will also be up to 15 bell drops from your trees. Each bell drop is 100 bells, no matter what. And, like it was said in the video, there will be up to 2 furniture drops in your trees as well. These are completely random. However, you will always have at least one of these drops each (at least 1 bell drop, 1 wasp nest, and 1 furniture drop). *Something important to remember is that fruit trees cannot drop any of these. You can't find a wasp nest in a fruit tree, and this goes for the furniture drops and the bells as well.* If you did no know this already then.. your welcome for telling you.

Thanks again Mayor Mori! I always find my money hole and money rock even if I don't get to play much. If I can't easily find a Special Character, I leave it. There's been a few days where I must not have been as attentive as I don't seem to find anyone. Critters - If I can be bothered I'll go on a dash and catch whatever. At the moment, damsleflies are plentiful and earn decent coin, so I've just been stocking up for Flick's next visit!

I've restarted twice. Once because I was stuck in a rut and what I wanted to do was going to take weeks to move buildings and bridges And a second time because Coach moved into the middle of my town But peaches were my native fruit 3 times and Mum's twice now Windflowers. The things I do daily are in no order and often overlap. I check my mailbox, I build a snowman before any dung beetles can steal the snowballs, and if I see a villager wandering around I haven’t spoken to yet, I talk to them as I go around picking up tree branches and digging up fossils. Usually I find the glowy spot and dig up the bells during my fossil hunt (and plant a money tree if it’s in a good spot). I get the fossils assessed immediately after they’re all dug up and sell em before looking for the seashells, which is also when I go looking for the bottled DIY recipe and Gulliver or Gullivarr if Redd’s not visiting and there’s nobody in the plaza. If one of them is there, I help him out before returning to shell collecting, all the while, talking to any villagers I see out and about. Next, I visit the villagers at home and get a DIY recipe from them. At this point, I know most DIY recipes, but I still check just in case the bottled one’s a new one. After this, I make another Nook’s Cranny stop to sell the shells and recipes I already know. Next, I harvest and sell my fruit if I have any. Then I see what’s for sale at the tailor’s, and talk to Sable. If Gulliver or Gullivarr aren’t visiting, then I pay a visit to whoever it is on my island. If it’s Flick or CJ, time to do some bug catching and fishing. I should make a rock farm, that’ll make it easier to find the money rock and motivate me to hit my rocks more. As for trees, I don’t shake ‘em cause I’m not good at cactching wasps. I HAVE been shaking the decorated trees until they went back to normal as those are wasp-free, but now I’m back to only shaking fruit trees until there’s another seasonal crafting item they might spit out.

Daily. Great video! Not sure if it was mentioned here, but for the glow spots, you can bury 10,000 bells instead of 1,000 and get a 30,000 bell return. I forget this from time to time, but it's a great practice to do! It works every time

my list is fairly basic: check mail, talk to villagers and visitor, nook stop and cranny, fossils and rocks, water plants, shake trees, find money tree, get wood, go fishing and diving, catch bugs, visit blathers to see if he is missing anything I got, sell the rest of what I don't want, nook stop and cranny again, (i don't have the able sisters yet but they're on their way, i would do that here) and do whatever else I want to do.

i recommend you to collect all the wasp and wasp nests, so you can sell em in nooks cranny - these are also some extra bells and helps you gain more bells espacially early game :)

And i recommend you keep the wasps and sell them only to Flick (as he gives like 25% more for each bugs price) and craft the nests into floors (if you have the diy) to sell higher OR craft them into medicine (which, at the same time, gets rid of grass) as we may never know when you'll find one of your villager sick in their house (or if you happen to get stung someday).

Watching you release wasps which sell for 2500 bells each and then shake the tree which had a drone beetle on it was a uniquely painful experience, I was not expecting. Edit: the idea that you released a wasp on screen and the next thing was suggesting your native fruit on your island. Like, you just released the equivalent of selling 25 (native fruit) and the next second, you’re giving us that. Most of your advice is solid, but that was a huge exception. Lol

My routine is check the mailbox first then, because my house is close to Resident Services, I go to the Nook Stop to get the Nook Miles Rewards and also check the Special Goods for new items/music. Since I’m already going to the plaza I also check if Leif, Kicks, K.K. is there. I have a residential area for all my village houses so I go to the villager who’s crafting DIY. Then I go across the island to look for money trees, fossils and the glowing dig spot, whichever comes first. If I’ve reached end to end on the island I look in the beach for message bottles. While doing so I also pick up any stray weeds or twigs and also the seashells. For my trees most are organized in a straight row on my long pathway so I shake trees at that time. I save the money rock last because I dont have a rock garden yet and I have terrible luck with finding the money rock lol. Because of that though I often forget to hit the money rock😢 I often wake up at 7:00 so I usually complete my routine just when Nook’s Cranny opens so I sell most of the ones I’ve collected after.

Daily!!! I pretty much to everything listed in this video. The only things I do differently is I make the hot items of the day to get some extra bells and ofc I go to Harvey’s island and do the wedding photos.

When I first get on what I do is •1 talk to all my villagers •2 gather ALL my fruits and sell them •3 check my rating •4 get all the stuff from the bin and sell it •5 get something for my island •6 check the Abel store •7 run around the beach get shells and DIY recipe bottles

I'm pretty much at the beginning of the game, so I don't even have Nook's Cranny yet. I've been on the hunt for materials for the past week - turns out I'd been breaking the rocks wrong. Now that I know you're not supposed to shatter them, the process of finding the iron nuggets is going way fast. I was also glad to find out about the furniture, 'cause I need tables and a better bed. Also really looking forward to unlocking Able Sisters, cause I want to give my character a beard like I have in real life, and that's the only place you can get it.

1: mail. 2 : stores 3 : talking to other villagers 4 : patrol the entire island at least twice. 5 : dig up extra flowers that grew. 6 : dig up fossils 7 : hit rocks 8 : collect the fruit or flowers. 9 : patrol the beach (this is done over 5 times each day.) 10 : sell things I don't need. 11 : the glow spot 12 : decorate the island more 13 : catch bugs and store them 12 : catch fish 13 : shake the trees,all of them. 14 : clean up the island and sell whatever I need to again. 15 : give gifts to the villagers 16 : check up on every villager in their houses. 17 : check the campsite 18 : check the island rating. 19 : the nook shop 20 : buy turnips. 21 : clean out my house and clean up then sell it I don't need it. 22 : island tours and sell whatever I want to on there.

I gave up on more than half daily mentioned after the duplication glitch for bells and having all villiger photos. Now I just log in and try to get new furniture, clothes and see if any villiger I don't want is moving out

I just bought Animal Crossing and admit I'm disappointed that I'm starting my island adventure in a snowy winter wonderland. It's a bit too close to real life. I was hoping for more of an escape with this game ;) Watching this video makes me doubly excited for spring, in both real life and the game.

i don’t really do a routine tbh. but usually 1st I check on my mail & see wut i got so far, open that stuff, & from there there’s no particular order of things but i do tend to catch bugs & fish, pick up shells, & dig up fossils to give to blathers or sell to timmy/tommy for most of the time I’m on. if im not doin that, I talk to my villagers, give them presents, do a task that Tom has sent me to do, check on special npcs, etc

Another good thing to do every day is to check trading forums e.g. nookazon, different social medias, to see if anyone is looking for something you can provide. This is a great way to make some extra bells and feel more a part of the animal crossing community.

I usually check my mail and then run around the entire island to pick up loose branches, shells and fossils In the process I usually find the glow spot, the special character and I water my pumpkins and flowers I don't usually look for the money rock and leave it for the other player on my island If necessary I'll harvest my pumpkins and fruit trees

I do pretty much at least half of these (for example I don’t water my flowers because I have way too many). I also like to visit people’s islands who currently have Celeste and a meteor shower on their island so I can get my daily 20 wishes to have stars for the next day and a daily diy from Celeste. Other fun things I like to do is visiting people’s islands for cataloging events and diy swapping 😊

The only time I found 6 was when I hadn't logged in for a couple of days. Other than that it's always been 4. Maybe time travel can make the game think that a day of fossil hunting has been missed so it spawns more?

The first thing I do check my mail if I have any, then check the catalog and map. Then I walk to the beach below my house and look for bottles, keeping an eye out for special visitors in the summer I pick up shells. As I'm running doing my Beach check I stop by the plaza to check for visitors. If I have a camp site villager I will stop by as I'm checking beaches. I check out nook store on my way to the otherside of my island beach, then I will stop by my rock garden. After that I will go looking for my gold dig spot if I didn't see it only the way I'll drop 3k in the hole then move it to my tree farm and pop into ables to check out clothes(specially if it's a holiday or limited time clothes). If I'm feeling froggy I'll shake my trees, do some island tours and check then for items and bottles and go for a chopping spree. (Wood goes quickly.) I used to do flowers and balloons but meh.

Tbh is it just me but when i load the game i just go straight into terraforming and decorating my entire island lol.will prob head to the shops after but i always am so lazy to get the fossils/fish hahahha. Will only dig em out if their in the way

my favourite thing to check on daily is my hybrid flowers garden as it's always progressing (I'm doing the 12*12? I think? pattern) and it's exciting and I hope I get a new one but I only get white roses lol . I also always talk to villagers AND gift them and from then on I improvise 👀

My routine - check mail -shake all non fruit trees -hit rocks - collect shells and daily diy recipe on the beach -find every fossil and digable bells -chek the box and terminal in resident services -pick up every stick and weed on the ground -look for daily npc -go to nooks cranny and sell what I don't want -go to the tailors right after, talk to Sable, buy new clothes -change my outfit -talk to my favorite villagers -asess fossils and donate anything new -water my garden

My daily ritual is to go shake every non-fruit tree to catch wasps and their nests. Once you figure out how to time it, you'll make a good amount of bells this way! I also noticed that the daily limit of fossils is 4, but if you didn't play the previous day, you'll get 5! I also always stop at the Nook Miles station for free miles. I mostly do the island tour at night to try to get rare bugs and fish that only come out at night. Sometimes I try the DIY Tarantula Island, and I'm hoping for getting Shark Island soon!

Building Project. 11. Mystery Island 12. Fossile 13. Nook Miles Critters are caught along the way and the order can varry day to day

I check my mail box, collect weeds and fossils, talk to my villagers (and gift them stuff) check flowers, message in a bottle, money tree, assess fossils and sell, check ables, go and redeem miles and see the special items in nooks shopping. Then I water my flowers.

An NPC visits every weekday, with K.K. Slider showing up on Saturdays if you've unlocked him, and Daisy May showing up Sunday mornings. Wisp and Celeste also have a chance to spawn on certain nights.
