I love how much of this is "if the animal wants to hurt/kill you it will" and "animals generally don't attack people"

Those two statements are not opposed, though. They generally don't attack, and the experts explain when they will attack- those situations tend to be uncommon.

@@Girlheadthey didn’t say there were opposing statements. it’s just funny how every expert says the simple fact that an animal will not harm you randomly, but that doesn’t mean they can’t hurt you if they wanted

I had an extremely interesting encounter with a black bear when I was around 10 yrs old. My grandparents had a small camp around the Allegheny Forest in PA. It was right after we had gotten finished eating lunch or dinner. I was sitting on the swing in the back just waiting for everyone to finish up and come back outside. All of a sudden I saw this black bear appear out of nowhere.. I think I saw It before I heard it. This bear was bookin it from the North East corner of the tree line, to the South Western area where I was sitting. My grandparents had cleared out this area and it was at least 3 acres in length. Our camp was right up against the road and this bear was coming from the one forest area to the forest area behind me. I didn't even have time to process what was happening. I was just taken by how cool it was. I just froze. The bear didn't even look at me. It just ran past me. It took seconds. I never knew bears could run that fast. I have seen them a couple of times crossing the road, getting into the blackberry patch on the front side of the property. But they'd normally stay away from the camp. Unless they came at night and were breaking into the small shed to eat the fish food... Still.. pretty cool.

Just got back from camping. 2 bear cubs climbed a tree right above our tent, so mama bear hung out for like a hour in the campsite. I heard the bear breathing and walking on the tarp under our tent that how close it was. Air horn, car alarm, yelling “go away bear” didn’t absolutely nothing.

Yeah I live in bear country, black Bear and just as they eat a lot of fish and berries, they kill and eat other animals and they don't know the difference between dogs, raccoons and humans, were just another meal, what they leave behind coyotes finish off. He information on bear's is so misleading. As Grizzly bears kill their prey, have a snack, bury it a little under leaves and come back later for another snack. Unless other animals got to it first.

I have dealt with five different times a tiger chased, caught and fought me. Tigers need to be faced and fought, since you cannot run away … the tiger will catch you since they run at up to 57mph. Tigers are driven by hunger or curiosity. When eating anything or anyone they eat everything, including antlers, skulls, bones, hoofs or feet. They run and climb better than humans. They are quick to launch attacks, and are nearly totally silent stalking prey. Late in the day after eating a meal they will engage in an unusual pick-me-up: They urinate making a very large puddle, after which they roll in the dirt and puddle of pee. Personally, I think they end up smelling like buttered popcorn after this little roll. So - if you are on a walk in the evening after dinner either alone or with a friend, and you are in an area known for tigers or other big cats, and you suddenly smell fresh popcorn and find your thoughts wandering to the latest really exciting spy-movie … turn around quick !!! sr sharer

The scene where she's talking about how Bruce has the correct 5 gill slits is footage of a real shark. The scene where the shark destroys Hooper's cage was filmed with a miniature cage so that a real shark would look oversized. It actually stands out in the movie that the shark suddenly looks real and has the range of movement of a living creature for specific shots while the shots of Bruce look off and and mostly just have him moving forward very stiffly.

Bears don't eat people. Tim Treadwell and his girlfriend would tend to disagree with that statement. If you are mentally unstable, and a bear is old and is somehow unable to pursue normal prey and you present them a free meal because "You are the ONLY VOICE for these animals out here" you will probably end up as bear scat

@4:53-55,...umm...that part ...where you say bears rarely attack if there's more than one person is FALSE . Bears are not driven by math computation it's hunger and whether 1 or 10 if you're the vulnerable person in tge group you're the targeted attention of the group. There's been occurrences of two or more ARMED men who had one member of the party mauled and the other men with rifles could do nothing to stop it. Bears don't recognize guns or the threatening new experience or are they swayed my math problems of equality of teams. If the Bears is hungry ESPECIALLY AFTER A WINTER SLUMBERING and you're MOVING you are a meal( the bear isn't walking around sniffing for something delicious. Everything edible smells delicious to a hungry bear.

@@sherishmacdonald9095 Your experience is singular. Her knowledge is 'plural'. I'm sure some bears and populations of bears act differently, but generalities are not therefore wrong. "trumps her reading books and watching videos" This just shows how disingenuous you are, you have done nothing to inform yourself about her expertise or experiences. Try using the thing you are typing on to learn, rather than try to prove yourself right. Also, time does not equal expertise, I myself have been doing some things for decades and still have limited understanding and ability in them. You living in a place with bears does not make you an expert on them. Maybe an expert on the few that live near you, but not bears in general. "Get back to me when you lived with them your whole life!" I have lived with people my whole life, therefore by your definition I have expertise on them and psychologists are wrong if I think so? Typing in all caps is indeed shouting into the void that is the YT comments, and they will not take a video down made with accredited academics and experts because of one person's personal experience.

The one with the anecdotal experience is not me! I have had over 32 run in with bears ! Not just one time! And as everyone here are saying ! This lady probably hasnt spent one night in the bush and she is the one going off of books and hearsay ! Not me! Mines real experience , so that was a really dumb comment!

@@sherishmacdonald9095 "I have had over 32 run in with bears" Yes, that by definition is anecdotal i.e. noun. : evidence in the form of stories that people tell about what has happened to them. Also watch the video, she even mentions one of her 'run ins' with a bear.
