Күн бұрынWhat is definitely one of the hardest videos I have done in a long time that I needed to write a script for it, it's also my very first commentary video too so I guess that's neat. This touches on the legacy of an Arcade Game that shaped my childhood and the reason for this video existing is to honor its existence, that being Bandai Namco's Animal Kaiser.
I hope you will enjoy this video and especially the Animal Kaiser fans that watch it should this video do well. A lot of work was put into this video and I will consider doing more videos talking about Animal Kaiser and commentary videos in general too.

Hey there, Kaiser here. Considering this video is surprisingly still doing very well, I'd like to use this time to address some things that I've picked up since making this video 3 years ago back in 2021 and some things I probably should've addressed earlier at some point. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ For one, some mistakes. Dr. Mole from SAKE Ver. 5 is not a Guinea Pig, but a Golden Hamster as stated by this scientific name (Mesocricetus auratus) Secondly, I am very sorry that I failed to bring up the Bigger Mecha Cards and Guardian Spirits, considering how important that factor was. I'm not as sorry for Auras though but they are still an important part of the Strong Cards so I still do feel bad about this one Thirdly, for long time fans. Yes, as of right now there is a working Emulator for Animal Kaiser alongside a reboot that is currently in the UK. Never expected anyone to even make a video of this, but this vid's really good, brings me back good memories and nostalgia since I started playing it when it first came out in Southeast Asia. Still kept the cards I had obtained (including Emperor Vertus). Also remembered slamming the machine so hard for the Attack buff and getting chased out because I made too much noise lmao.

Such an underrated game. While most adults have maybe old PS games or Nintendo or Sega games, here we kids/teenagers are with Animal Kaiser. I hope it gets remastered into a modern console/PC/phone game. This is a time when a lot of old games are getting renewed today, even though I don't think many are arcade games. But it could work ; maybe it could be a phone game where you scan IRL cards through camera, or maybe you can buy a port that has the card scanner slot and 3 buttons.... AHHH this game could really use a renewal today

This is the perfect explanation about Our childhood simple arcade game. Lets say that this is also a kind of Gacha game, because the end you'll get free a card from a machine. When I was a kid, I usually got the same card that I had or the card that doesn't have any specialities. Therefore, I gave that card free to another friend that also play this.

This game is very nostagic, the fact it ran for more than 10 years in Singapore and inspired other related trading collectable arcade games like dinosaur king, hello kitty, the weird bettle game, power rangers and the current Pokémon ones, it’s really a legendary game for the 2000s and 2010s kids

I like this video, it helped me reimagine the days of me just having fun with this game. I've been following Animal Kaiser since the day it first released in Indonesia, until the machines began dissappearing at...2018ish? Been a long time since I've been to the arcades. Thank you for rekindling the good and bad memories of this amazing game of my childhood. If I had to add a thing or two from this video, it's the mechanics. The 1st version laid the foundation of the series, Evolution made it a little bit cooler with all those Focus and Aura Explosion. Come Great Animal Kaiser, it was a tag team gameplay. It was supposed to be a bit more fun, but somehow I get the feeling that version was rigged for you to lose to the CPU. Strong Animal Kaiser and Maximum though, I feel the series began to become more....how should I say it...bizarre. At least in Strong, you get the awesome mechanic of summoning past Animal Kaisers to either help you or harm the opponent, but Maximum? Boy, you summoned UFOs and vehicles and even a goddamn toilet and Pyramid if you're following the Japan version! That, to me, was the most absurdly ridiculous version, and also the most diverted from the core. Animal roster? I think they could benefit from a few other creatures, coz it only seemed that the rough and tough beasts can join this battle. Where's the love for the marsupials, horses, poultry and other similar types of animals? Heck, if a Holstein, of all animals, can join the roster, then surely other similar animals can, too. Long text, I know. But I'm just blurting out my personal thoughts on this game that shaped my childhood and early teens.

yes i actually remember how many times i still play it while the evo edition still making the ninja beasts as their mascot and my cousin always shows up his zangetsu to me, and also i do somewhat and somehow "illegal" trading around my school looking there are potentially powerful card wielders around my classmates and also i remember one day while playing there is a random guy somehow look at me, buy me a card pack somehow, and then i found armagedon vertus inside it was like a miracle and i marked that day all to my lifetime like always place to plays like arcades makes us enjoys "trial friends" too *sob* and we never met them again wonder it will be same in singapore and malaysia too, and also remain a days when i don't get to play animal kaiser caused by trauma of trying boss fight but now i missed it, most of the arcade cards now were changed into ultraman fusion fight i mean why? this new game may be connected to our childhood but animal kaiser is the true root of our childhood arcade especially in indonesia oh by the way i miss aikatsu arcade too i actually have a magazine that holds information about ultra rare dresses and appeals but i actually feared the public looking at me played aikatsu

Thank you Thank you so much for creating this video and I can share it with other foreign bro I meet that never had the chance to experience this childhood we had (I am actually also a Singaporean) My luck was kinda shitty, I still rmb the first time I got my first gold rare bald Eagle in version 2(and repeated version 3 but no one to trade with) then never get another gold rare until general crusher and joker lol Then one of my very few last card in og ak was mammoth priest and that time I rmb it was a nice way for me to close the chapter as it did feel kinda shame that GAK were less challenging despite the better quality of screen Until gak bigger bring me back upon I heard the old animal and miracle card can be used, it was also cool to see people used emperor vertus fight against the new galactic emperor, a luxury the Japan didn't get just like the early introduction of new animal in each faction during evolution Also got my first ultra rare being mecha whale and that fighting kangeroo As much as I feel like all good thing must come to an end and now that new pokemon arcade game kinda takes over this legacy... I hope animal kaiser will one day perhaps. Come back maybe in a modernised way Like maybe turn into a mobile gasha game or on console like switch just so to bring it out for international player to enjoy and play together, back to the good old days of simplicity yet fun game format we lack now

Just came across this video trying to find the ost for animal kaiser. An impressive coverage of the legacy and impact it had, especially in south east asia. Fun fact, this game basically inspired these slot machine-esque arcades that even to this day, we have many similar machines but with different IPs such as power rangers and ultraman. However not all of these are just animal kaiser but ultraman, there are also original IPs that were made by reinventing the formula, such as hero of robots. All in all, im glad that even though animal kaiser technically ended, its legacy wasnt forgotten. Now all we need is emulation, to preserve this game on the internet for all eternity For those wondering, yes you can buy the official ost, but its japan exclusive. Thank you, and good day

I did enjoy it very much, you did a great job encapsulating animal kaisers history. An update on the ost cd, its a limited time product that was produced in 2010, meaning that it has been discontinued and copies of it are few and far between. I'll try to dig more on it.

I am from Indonesia, and when the first time I play this game the first card that came out is an animal that also represent Indonesia, it is a comodo dragon, and that's why I start to collect the cards. It is a fun journey though. :) thankyou for the video

I felt tears in my eyes when i heard the select theme. Man nostalgia hits like truck best moment for me was one shotting master apollo with mecha lion ex gold atk with weak point attack activated.

i used to collect Dinosaur king cards with my brother ive seen dinosaur king removed and now animal kasier we need more card type games like batman etc all removed as of 2023 and card game like dbz naurto one punch man or super smase brothers
