One of the best, sensible and brave reviews ever. The entire movie had a disgusting theme of male chauvinism. Each male was competing with each other over their chauvinistic tendencies. All female characters were written so badly that it makes you wonder what sort of a childish brain wrote that. Brave of you to discourage people from watching the movie.

If you see gangs of wasseypur it's a similar situation but you don't tell that the movie is glorifying violence or misogyny, even tho there was plenty in that movie, because there are no handsome looking people, but average looking poor people who look like they are bad. Nowhere in the movie has Sandeep vanga justified ranvijays actions. What award did Ranvijay win at the end? His dads gonna die anyways after all the murders, his wife leaving him?

Even after his dad's death , the animal never repents for the things it has done .. In the Post credits scene Animal even asks us to Come and Suck its di**.This movie no doubt glorifies Toxic Masculinity. I mean whats the Role of Animals's Mom in the movie? Will a mom ever keep quiet if her ANimal child is asking the lady counsellor about her sex life in fronta everyone? Evn his dad is silent in the scene ..My GOD ! Only Sikhs can protect Sikhs ? Animal --- is probably the most controversial film in recent times. Almost all reviews are paranoid but the truth is that it is not that misogynist as reviewers claim it to be. The main actor chokeholds his wife only once but get slapped by her a lot, an irony and a selective amnesia. Also, it is an 'A' certificate film, there are lot more horrible movies passed off as U/A films. Anyway the movie has no hero, the lead role is a crazy person... that's all to it. Too much fuzz over exaggerated "moral high ground". The movie on technical side, Ranbir Kapoor .. man! what an acting talent.. undisputedly the best actor in India. He will rule. Booby deol, what a crazy character. Rashmika and Anil Kapoor are fantastic support to the film. The real "animal" of the film .. the director Sandeep Reddy Vanga.. he is here to stay.. Leaving out the so called "morality" of the "A" certificate film aside. This man is an amazing director.. 3 hour 25 mins.. of gripping screenplay, music and editing. Mind you, he does't have an dedicated professional movie music director(like Anirudh) and yet ensured he ensembled music bits which worked flawlessly to elevate the film to a different level. Sandeep is here to stay.. an brilliant directorial talent. He said he will make all the critics cry blood in his immediate film couple of years back and he did it, while making a cult classic and ringing box office at 500+ crores and probably will do 750 lifetime. Bravo!

I think this Director wrote the script based on 18th century between kingdoms, kings, prince etc., and decided to shoot based on present day due to budget constraints. Explains why there are no legal consequences for all the murders . Movie would have made sense if based 200 years ago!

It is a negative character portrayed as a hero with an in depth depiction of the character of that hero.. just watch the movie as a movie.. such a raw performance by ranbir.. if you can’t understand a negative character portrayal as an imaginary movie, then you should not review movies.. it shows that you don’t have the maturity to understand this type of genre.. you shouldn’t be reviewing movies.. This is what happens when you slowly bring brutal violence in Big Heroes Movie and now it as became part and parcel of even normal screenplay of any movies. Eg KGF, Vada Chennai, Vikram, Vikram Vedha, Jailer, Leo list goes on and on. Now when somebody elevates the gory abusive excessive violence in movies further, now people realize their mistakes and feels uncomfortable when seeing such scenes in the movie.. Big heroes should take moral stands that they will not such scenes to be part of their movie. By doing this slowly people will stop glorifying violence on movies and in reality

Hi @Prashant You gave a pretty good review about movie. what I feel is when you have some morality about how things should be we should not compare with movies and especially these kind of movie its better to not to review Simple ex: when there is an terrible accident which even we can't see with our eyes in that scenario we don't discuss in front of kids in our family Similarly we don't need to publish or review it for these kind of movies.

You know whats the most funniest part of this review. Watch this guy's review on Arjun reddy, this guy even wanted to fall on vanga feet to appreciate his craft itseems. Lets be frank, the toxicity in that movie is far more than what we saw in animal.

Not every movie has to be socially responsible! Padatha padama paru da paithiyam! In a sense i respect the director for not changing the movie to please critics and people like you! Intha maari moral policing panni panni dhan creators are not able to stick to their original vision. I agree that some scenes could be avoided but atleast one director has the guts to stick to his vision. General audience should be educated not the directors.

Hi Prasanth anna! Actually from the very first lines you spoke, yep this film is a great one. Hats off to Ranbir brooo tooo! Peaking into the very first critique you say. You say that this film is so high on violence, cutting down men and choking people to death. I can't understand, when looking into movies like kill bill, or the ripping the ear apart scene in reservoir dogs, slitting the throat in gone girl and many moreee, why are they celebrated and this film is complained. The next one, where she removes her top in kitchen. He isn't proving anything thereee. He has lost his senses, when they kiss he can't taste her and is pushed to rock bottom. Gitanjali, Rashmika's character claims that he took care of her in two pregnancies and he never complained. He never even slaps her. And the whole alpha male concept is proven wrong when he loses everything at the end. The whole male chauvinism this is down the drain, he loses everything. It isn't celebrated here. He isn't justified in this film at all. Even his cheating, he couldn't answer her questions.

Except extreme violence & intimate scenes, this movie is actually good with very unique style of narration, father love with soul touching bgm. If you expect good morals from a movie then it's not a film for you. But if you are a person who can simply see movie as a movie then you may like it. Overall Ranbir Kapoor's acting was terrific.
