Luna was abandoned on the side of the road, luckily near Bergen Country Horse Rescue where she's been given a wonderful home. Luna has some severe arthritis and gets some much needed adjustments and stretches for her achy joints, make sure to watch her keep asking Dr. Doug to work on her legs 😂🥰.

Animals definitely understand at least the intention by talking to them. Some words might also be familiar, so even some of the content might be understandable to them. We all know that animals can be taught to understand certain words, it only follows logically that they may understand at least some of the interaction with them. And they are even better at reading the emotion of what you say better than humans can. And lastly, communicating with them makes animals feel more connected, not as awkward. They can tell you talk to them, talking is connecting no matter how you look at it. It also kind of keeps their mind busy wondering what is being said, instead of worrying about what is being done. And if you sound calm, assuring, then everything will go way much smoother.

That horse immediately bonded with you, you stepped forward they stepped with you, you said "stay there for me" and they nodded, lets you hold their head up, doesnt show signs of aggression or even defensiveness, keeps nuzzling you and leaning in giving you their legs , they absolutely love what you're doing

Luna is so patient, especially for a horse that was abused and abandoned. Animals seem to be able to trust again. They are amazing. I love the way. He talks to her and she seems to understand.

Had an acupuncturist save a dogs life. Jaw muscle vanishing. Traditional vet gave him 50/50 to live. The acupuncturist said 6 treatments , he’d be good. Stopped at 4. Dr. Basks went on to be head of veterinary medicine in Hawaii. Had the brig 17 years, 12 of those after Basko saved him. Frodo RIP

When you were done with the legs she was like "Hey, that felt good! Do it again!" Stretching could probably help her sore body a lot as she seems to really relax and want to stretch more. Such a sweet horse, thank you for helping animals feel better!❤

People don’t know how lucky they are, just to leave such a beautiful animal. I live in Ohio I’m disabled and I love these animals and I’ve never even had a chance to touch one, I have tears coming out of my eyes right now I want to touch a horse so bad it hurts my heart. Just to run my fingers through their magnificent mane and thank God for His creation is literally a bucket list thing for me I promise you it actually hurts that I don’t know what a horse feels like.

It's always nice to see when they have full trust in you because they know you're there to help. For her 20's, Luna's patient and looking happy to be with people, despite whatever it is she's gone through. Tough life, but a nice retirement.

That was hysterical!!! Luna was licking and chewing up a storm, and not just beccause you had your fingers up her jaw. ("That one's done. Do this one again!") Please do a video on "massaging cats". I have a 20+yo long-haired tortoiseshell who could probably use a couple of "cracks." (She adopted me when her original people across the street got a small dog -- and the two did not get along. She just moved in with my three.) Over the years, all my cats have shown me where to "rub" or "itch," but some more professional tips would be a big help.

Oh poor baby. U can see the hurt in is mind n eyes. Oh I'd love to give her some love... don't worry you got a beautiful soul who wants to help you, Dr will make u better. Oh poor girl knows how arthritis makes u feel in the neck, when u pushed her head up I felt her dizziness that I get from c1,2,3,4,5 from compression of nerves. These days I have a numb right arm.. so know how the gorgeous luna feels.. love her regularly for me... xx ohhh shoulder arthritis too.... oh and right ankle n knee. owww. I'm a furry struggling with back pain, and the lack of wolf-friendly chiropractors is so frustrating (when I call, the human ones all say they won't adjust animals). I think I'll have to give you a visit. Thanks Dr. Doug!

Dr Willen, I love your impersonations 😂 and you’re always spot on 👌, don’t ever stop doing them. I like how Luna kept switching her legs, even though you’ve adjusted it, for you to not leave. She really loves you and that kiss was so special, she’s beautiful ❤. Dr Doug, she made you work out 💪 but that’s great cause you did two things at once. How nice 👍 Prince made you dance salsa and Luna kept switching her legs so you’d stay which is so cute. Thank you 🙏 for always trying to help everyone, you’re awesome 👏, have a nice week doc.

OK DOC, Luna melts when you touch her. Watch her eyes and how she positions her head and face near you…..wow. You are her magic man. Bless you for helping these wonderful souls. We have a sanctuary for small dogs with very significant medical needs. Luckily we have a vet who is trained in animal chiropractic and who adapted traditional chiropractic and ORTHOBIONOMY. Our vet has weekly orthobionomy treatments for herself, so she fully understands their benefit. She is an amazing body worker for the babies, just as you are. She also does cold laser therapy, homeopathy, etc. I would bet that you and she would hit it off famously.

As someone who’s suffered from osteoarthritis with DDD for years, & fibromyalgia, I have empathy for Luna. Doug, I know it’s not easy on your body, having to work on larger animals. Please take care of yourself, as well.
