I've just started watching the shorts videos, and I'm hooked. It features all the things I love in life. Cars, trains ships animals and nature. It's made me realize how much I appreciate animals and how they relate to other animals and, of course, humans. It's difficult not to think of them as living beings. They are all as emotional as we are and how much they express themselves. The actions that mothers take towards their young and their regard for the families they create. Even though they don't speak words, there is no doubt how well they communicate with others, including us. It makes me feel guilty for the way humans treat them. I'm not just talking about how we raise them for food, although that's part of it. We are cruel and disrespect them, and we do so with the God-given right that the Bible tells us we have over all living things on earth because we think we are smarter than they are. We are not. As I watch these videos, I see how they feel in their eyes. It's all said in the eyes if we just take the time to look at them. I understand the concept of survival of the fittest, but I believe they deserve a better treatment than we give them. However, I shouldn't expect much more since all we have to do is look at the way we treat each other. That says it all. So sad.

There's these guys in Africa who chase down seals to free them from debris that they become entangled in. So many times the seals fight and run not to get caught. Once caught the guys will cut off fishing net or even a soccer shirt. (The seal actually seemed bummed to lose the shirt). Once free many seals seem to show some thanks then they run back to their hurd. Animals are beautiful they just want to be happy and loved just like us.

This video brings tears. Even though I've held those feelings for most of my life, the awareness of so many animals' capacity to love a member of another species is truly powerful.
