Animate map for travel videos on Mac - the easiest way!

Animating a travel path on a map is a great way to tell your story in a travel vlog or video. This is the easiest method I have come across. You need only a web browser and Apple Keynotes.

This very cool. As a retired engineer, I used PowerPoint way too much during my career. I have occasionally used PowerPoint and now Keynote in some video stuff, but this was something I'd not ever thought of as a solution. I'd always figured when seeing these animations it was some app. Thanks for the new trick.

Best I have seen so far! Just a small tip here. If you use screenshots that are 1:1 pixels for 16:9 1080p, 2160p etc. Then it will be even sharper when you export the videos. Just a small tip from the world of post production!

@@NomadSweden No you do not. If you first make a screenshot that is xy pixels, then animate it and export it from Keynote, you are not exporting it double size. Lets say for argument sake you have made a screenshot that is 1988 x 1123 and you blow that up to 4096 pixels, then smear it back down to UHD, you have ruined a lot of pixels. By making it perfect squares of 1080p, 2160p etc., you do not make these smeares, and in the end make the blow ups a lot better. Just argumenting, not saying it does not look good. But in our work with Netflix etc., such pixels smears is strictly forbidden!

@psvennevig ah yes you are right about the screenshot. I get what you mean. I made it quick for demo. Fir nice zooms I take multiple screens and stitch them. We are on the same page now 👍🏻

Update, I've now done two!! it worked just as advertised. It's just important to screen grab wide enough for the video output. Thank you again. I think I'll get an Acadamy Award for editing. Don't worry, I'll thank you before the music plays me out :)
