Guess the Scorched Earth Operation is a last resort suicidal mission for the Type-IV squadron. Firing a nuke right in the middle of the whole company means they never intended to have any survivors from this unit. That's just so messed up. You know what else is messed up? Firefly and Ruan Mei are on the first half banners. Both lore-wise and wallet wise. Firefly: My planet and comrades perished because of The Swarm. Ruan Mei: What a coincidence. I made a clone of the Propagation Emanator. Firefly: YOU DID WHAT????? **Triggered mech noise**

Why? Ruan mei is the most qualified person to cure her entropy loss syndrome with her expertise in genetics especially when it comes to the swarm. Iirc fireflies are made using genetics from the swarm.

@@MrWizardjr9 That's only one possibility. Another one is a human-bug-hybrid with emanator level powers that's remote controlled by Ruan Mei herself :D Your comment is true, though. My original comment was mainly about Firefly probably not wanting to go through the whole "humans from a lab" thing because her whole story arc is about leaving it all behind and becoming her own individual. She's also probably not a fan of the potential swarm emanators Ruan Mei is cooking up. It would be an interesting plot point, though, because in contrast to the cat cakes Firefly is an experiment with consciousness, feelings AND the ability to express herself clearly.

6:33 If you watched the Catching up with StarRail for Firefly, Owlbert says that: Firefly pushed her suit beyond it's specs via her sheer Iron Will. So, her Ult form with the wings and dual swords.. She just manifested it out of sheer. Freaking. WILL!!

the owlbert Firefly tutorial mentioned that her burst mode is Firefly awakening her true potential. probably the shock of seeing everyone dead is the one that awakening it😂

Yeah I feel like the mechs' full powers are shown by having those wings-type things. The personal escort model from the myriad celestia has red wings too, and she looked like she was of higher power

I believe this battle happened on the Glamoth throneworld; they defended it until there was nobody left, then destroyed it rather than leave it to the Swarm. Scorched Earth. There was one crucial line that occurred as Firefly was looking into the sky around 4:28: "but Glamoth no longers exists." You may want to turn on CC next time so you don't miss it when you're busy talking over it.

So far what i can piece together trawling through several Comment sections (so take with a big grain of salt) the Glamoth Empire never existed BUT the Glamoth Republic did. They made up the Empress and the Empire to control/give the Clones a reason to fight. So they are born, indoctrinated, fight and die. "Article 1 of Glamoth's military regulations: Knights should feel honored to be born." Then again we can see just that even such horrible practices was paling against the Threat of The Swarm, so much so that like 5 Aeons ganged up against Tazzyronth(see wiki) and it STILL isnt dead just encased in Amber and its power diluted. When even AHA gets serious you know somethings fudged up.

In the keeping up with star rail for firefly, according to welt and owlbert, the SAM second form isn’t a new thing or hidden function, it’s firefly’s will affecting the suit’s reactor causing the change basically So I guess it’s the pilot of the suit that makes it that way

If i recall correctly the empress titania is a fiction something glamoth created for the knights to fight for (titania is also a fairy in mythology) And importantly all the 3 we saw before this animation i saw no body i see no death i can still have hope that the boy the nerd and the lady are still alive And yeah elio did definitely send kafka there to collect her- it does seem like firefly might be special at least with her transformation Also um the swarm looks so cool brain altered Oh if you want to know what theyre planing its gotta be the stuff that the baseball event did characters based off those- cause that was them testing all these attacks and effects to make sure they'd be valuable and good

As I understand it after the fall of Tayzzyronth (and the Ascension of Nanook and Xipe) the people of Glamoth turned on the Queen. The Queen was an artificial being created to lead the Iron Calvary and the people of Glamoth ended up viewing her as a weapon (which she was) that had to be destroyed. So the Firefly units ended up being soldiers fighting for a cause that no longer exists. As for the new Xianzhou arc: Given that they called the Luofu the host of the festival I imagine we're going back to the Luofu and not a new ship. Honestly I hope that at least 2.4 is going to be a fun Tournament arc. I need a light happy moment to decompress after all the pain we have been witnessing as of late.

that is right apart from the Tayzzy stuff becasue this isn't the swarm disaster this is just one of the many planets that is being attacked by the swarm after is this was the swarm disaster then the swarm would of barely landed on the planet before eating it

Btw apparently in the Keeping up with star rail, Welt and Owlbert mentioned that the mech got upgraded because of her will, pushing it beyond it's limits and changing it's form

The other 'suits' or 'robots' are not the other 'Sams', but other 'Fireflies'. Because in the other video, they called the other model 'Firefly type 5 Personal Escort model'. And... well, they literally have "firefly + number".

If there's any other Iron Cavalry alive, I'm guessing it would be the Personal Escort Model from the Myriad Celestia trailer. The others were part of her squad, but the Personal Escort Model stayed behind for some reason. If anyone survived, it would probably be her. Strangely, her model type didn't have "Strategic Assault Mec," but rather this part is what's replaced with "Personal Escort Model," so it would be PEM instead of SAM.

I like that you ended the video like... 3 times or so? 🤣 Many soldiers had the SAM armor at the beginning so we can confirm that "our" Firefly is not unique. It seems the Firefly operatives belong to specific classes and there's a standard design for each class 🧐 • Firefly Type IV: Strategic Assault Mech (aka SAM), which our Firefly belongs to • Firefly Type V: Personal Escort Model (PEM?), which the veteran soldier belongs to • Firefly Type ?: launcher/cannon on the shoulder, which the girl with glasses belongs to • Firefly Type ?: heavily armored and bulky structure, which the boy belongs to

I doubt they survived. Glamoth demise happened several thousands of years ago and firefly survived because she was suspended in situation similar to cryo sleep until stelaron hunter found her.

There goes the chance of other SAMs being playables, welp Finally we see the scorched earth she kept taking abt in the main story, truly brutal and tragic 😢 For the sake of destroying the Swarm, the ruined and empty Glamoth is no more. The empire was long gone before this war right? They were doomed from the very start. This's only to prevent Propagation from spreading to other worlds.. The style of this animated short is super nostalgic, down to the music! The production team always does such a great job! Props to them 👏 Don't give them ideas on Welt and Himeko 😂

Actually that not a moon, that planet is where the Glamoth empire is but the empire already being destroyed that why she just casually blow up the planet

I actually disagree with that a bit, I agree that it’s a planet but I don’t think it’s glamoth homeworld. I think it’s just one of the planets a part of the empire since according to lore, glamoth homeworld is surrounded by machine and bug remains that block out the sun and this planet doesn’t have that and isn’t a planet anymore I think at this point the glamoth empire has already died but the iron cavalry want to eradicate the swarm as much as possible since that’s was still their purpose

They chased the swarm away from glamoth and continued the fight on other planets. Glamoth fell because the amount of corpses in space blotted out the sun.

My theory is after the nuke and firefly watched many of her friend died, she got blessings from glamoth. Her armor changed, and she became more powerful then fight the swarm till that planet destroyed.

That was a planet not moon and that planet was Glamoth. Firefly essentially destroying her home to destroy the Swarm is sad. Its especially unfortunate because it didn't really do much to the Swarm. It took several Aeons to kill Tazzayroth.

this was eons after the swarm disaster so Tazzy had already been sealed this was just against something like a true sting it wasn't even an enemator

I'm glad you saw the similarities to Halo Legends: Prototype, it definitely felt a lot like it. That or Warhammer 40k's Space Marines, I mean if you know, "For the Empress" and "For the Emperor!" are quite similiar, as well as the whole super soldiers fighting a losing war thing. Both are absolutely great fictional stories and I have LOVED every single second of Firefly's lore, I know Glamoth is gone, but I hope to see more from them, whether we go to the star system or find another SAM pilots. Also yeah for clarification: Welt mentioned that Firefly has been able to go into complete combustion because of her willpower ALONE. Not her genetics, nothing special in her suit, after losing everything and everyone, she essentially completely shattered the "Limiters" to the SAM suit, allowing her to go into complete combustion, and essentially nuking the whole planet, absolute gigachad. As far as Glamoth, it is an empire, and it ranges from multiple star systems and hundreds of planets, so Firefly nuking one is probably just a small speck in the empire as a whole. Titania (Glamoth's Empress) is unknown to be dead or alive. But Glamoth for sure no longer exists, in fact. Despite how gruesome and brutal the fighting seemed in the animated short, Glamoth's Iron Calvary were the some of the few that were able to successfully hold back Tazzyronth and their "Swarm Disaster". In fact, they were so good at taking out Swarms that they essentially formed a huge ring of bug carcasses, mecha and ship parts that it blocked out the SUN, Which was the ultimate downfall of the empire. Despite that, after losing their home planet the remnants of the Iron Calvary continued fighting, in which where this short probably took place. Seeing that Firefly said that "Glamoth no longer exists", which also explains why she is one of the last few left. Super long, I had to put on the nerd glasses for this one but yeah, if you can't tell I absolutely love Firefly and I have over 600 pulls saved for pull day.
