Since he was married to the late Russi Taylor (Minnie Mouse's previous voice actress), the late Wayne Allwine was the true Mickey Mouse (next to his creator Walt Disney).

Wayne Allwine sounds the most like what I grew up hearing and it’s fantastic. But Chris Diamontopolis’s delivery and inflection made me laugh the most so I gotta give it to him.

I really like Bret Iwan. There’s a warmth to it and doesn’t sound overly animated. It strikes a good balance. It just feels earnest.

Really, it's hard to do a *bad* Mickey Mouse voice, but Bret Iwan just has a softness to it that I imagine would be difficult for future VAs of the character to capture.

I think that’s a mistake in the vid. His impression is to dead on to be Wayne’s. Now the dude who voices Mickey in the Disney 100 short coming up sounds very similar to Wayne but I have no idea who it is.

Even Quinton Flynn had a shot at Mickey…pretty good I’d say. Sounds just like Wayne Allwine. BTW, Quinton Flynn also did the voices for… - Axel in Kingdom Hearts - Raiden in Metal Gear Solid - Kael’Thas Sunstrider in World of Warcraft

Wayne's voice just fills me with joy, there's so much voice to it. Chris very much channels the older version leaning more into falsetto, which is purposeful I'm sure, when reviewing impressions he separates them between mickey mouse clubhouse and shorts. So he obviously does the voice on purpose. It's just not my cup of tea

I remembered that was from the last Mickey Mouse cartoon The Simple Things. That cartoon came out in the same year as Peter Pan and it's on Disney plus.

Might as well make my first comment of 2023 a nice challenge! This was pretty difficult since they all have a unique voice, adding to Mickey's character. I'm sure my opinion will change from time to time. But this is how I'm ordering them now: 1. Wayne Allwine 2. Quinton Flynn 3. Bret Iwan 4. Walt Disney 5. Peter Renaday 6. Chris Diamantopoulos 7. Alan Young (Like how he can sound like Mickey with an accent) 8. Clarence Nash 9. James MacDonald 10. Jack Wagner 11. Les Perkins 12. Carl Stalling 13. Stan Freberg (Hard to explain why I'm rating him least favorite. I guess I feel like he's focusing too much on the Mickey impersonation and projecting that without adding much emotion. It almost sounds distracting, in that sense. But I don't hate the performance) Happy New Year!

I think Bret Iwan did a really good job trying to capture mickey studying Wayne, all of them are good but when people think of mickey usually they will hear one of the two voices

The fact thay they picked Bret Iwan over Quinton Flyn baffles me. Quinton Flynn sounds 95% like Allwyne. Iwan sounds like a highschool girl trying to do a Mickey impression.

1:49 Alan Young didn’t do Mickey Mouse. (He did Mr. Scrooge in “Mickey’s Christmas Carol”, and Mr. Scrooge in the Original “DuckTales” TV series and “DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp”.) Anyway, Walt Disney and Wayne Allowing, and Quinton Flynn are my favorite voices of Mickey Mouse.
