Animation Resources Acquires Collection of Russian Animated Films

Here's a sample of one of the Russian animated films in the collection Animation Resources recently got for its library. The number of Russian cartoons in the collection is over 400. We are looking for volunteers who can translate Russian titles and credits for us. If you are interested in helping out, contact Stephen Worth at sworth@animationresources.org

This is the cartoon I grew up listening to as a child, though for me it was a vinyl album, which I played on repeat. This takes me back. Thank you for the upload.

Interesting, if not informative, so where are the English subtitles? Not trying to tell you how to upload videos, even if they are half a world away, I think the cartoon would be much more enjoyable if it had English subtitles.

@@StephenWorth Yes, I could already see that you were a non-profit, but what's wrong with using cartoons from different foreign countries to entertain as well as enrich other people's lives both at the same time (whether they're in the animation business or not)?

@@NeluThat70sKid We are operating on Fair Use provisions. And our organization has a tax-exempt charter based on being educational. We aren't Netflix. We are a digital archive for the use of people who want to learn. Every other month, we provide our members with a Reference Pack of downloads, hand picked by our Board of Directors and Advisory Board which includes professional animators like Ralph Bakshi, Will Finn, J J Sedelmaier and Sherm Cohen, as well as educators like David Chai and Steve Stanchfield.. We provide resources to artists that great artists tell us was helpful in their own work. That goes beyond entertainment. There are lots of places to watch cartoons for fun. We are building the foundation for the future of animation so you will continue to have great entertainment to enjoy.

@@NeluThat70sKid I think there are uploads of the short that have English subtitles. I think the purpose of Animation Resources is to archive decent copies of it.
