To all those wondering, the reason why the plane banked last second was because of the lack of hydraulics. They didn’t have any flight controls due to the damage and hydraulic leak. They were steering the aircraft with just the engines. They managed to steer and align with a runway and descend, but at the last moment, the aircraft began to veer and they were coming in fast with no flaps. with no way to steer and correct, the aircraft struck the ground and broke apart. o7 These pilots did excellent in trying to save the aircraft. They did everything they could and as a result, more than half the souls on board survived.

Heres some info about flight 232 The plane was attemping a side approach but alot of people actully survived even tho it broke up to a million peaces alot of people still survived and the plane banked right bc the pilots couldn't control the plane

No hydraulics or ability to control the plane. You ought to read about this flight. It is nothing short of a miracle that they were even able to make it back to the airport.

The hydraulics failed when a disc in the middle engine burst due to a fault in the casting. It was essentially controlled by different engine thrust left/right until the landing, when the pilots somehow couldn't control it any longer.

The plane couldn't be controlled. All of the important hydraulic lines needed to control the aircraft broke when the engine exploded. So the aircraft started turning right before landing, and the pilots couldn't turn the aircraft back.
