I was honestly expecting there to be an Investigation Port at some point. I definitely wasn’t expecting one this year since the Apollo Justice Collection came out this year as well. I do believe Capcom took something down from AAI2 (don’t know if it was the actual fan translation or not) but it kinda gave the vibes that they were going to eventually port them. It also makes sense because for them to port it since all of the other AA (minus PLVPW) are already on Switch but yeah.

I was never interested. The Mii's are what made people play the Wii Sports games. Why would they remove the Mii's. Everyone loves the Mii's.

The Denpa Men community went absolutely crazy when we saw The New Denpa Men. Everyone in the community have played this series since 2012. We first heard about New Denpa Men Free in the Japanese Direct back in February, and took to Twitter to try and convince Genius Sonority to localize it. We’re happy to see that it worked and that this series has caught the attention of some possible new players.

@@Balto_JMR I was ecstatic when it was shown in the direct. I never actually owned any of the games, but I played their demos a ton. It being announced legit gave me a wave of nostalgia for the 3ds era.

To be fair, I understand. I have nothing against the art style but moreso the common creative direction that anime goes in. School kids in a bloody deadly apocalypse? A "young adult" that sounds 3 and looks 2?? Those are part of the anime art directive and those don't sit right with me and many others

@@ari638 that’s like the most americanised, asian-phobic, stereotypical view of anime i’ve ever seen. most anime is NOT like that lmao. people take the weirdest examples of anime and use it to portray it as weird, probably due to some kind of deeply engraved xenophobia as seeing it being from japan made people feel weird or something? idk. like not everything is set in a high school, and if it is, it’s because the target audience for that anime are japanese high schoolers… but like can that be applied to most Shonen anime now? like JJK? CSM? etc. things like AOT? Berserk? Mob Psycho? it would be like me saying “Man, all american movies are so weird with their sex and nudity” because of films like fifty shades of grey. and if an anime game is set in a high school, with high schoolers, and doesn’t interest you. then good! it’s not meant to, it’s meant to appeal to literal teenagers 😭😭

Secondly, taking issue with some of the media produced in some countries in no way means I hate those countries or the people who live in them, so DEFINITELY jot that one down. Now getting back to what I was actually saying, this is observation not opinion, the two examples I gave were actually the 2 anime-style games to appear in this direct, that is fact and you can re-watch the direct to see them for yourself. Questionable content on 2/2 of the anime games shown in this direct is not a good track record, is all I'm saying. Is it all anime? Of course not, and I never said it was. Do I have an issue with the anime art style? I said it before but no. Do I have an issue with some of the common artistic directives I see in anime? Yes. Does that clear it up? Please stop jumping to conclusions and getting on the defensive, I thought I was clear enough before but hopefully this is clear enough now. Regarding SOME of the high school anime, I have to disagree with you. Either their target audience is teenagers and they're producing graphically violent or sexual content for teens (which we can hopefully agree is a bad idea), or their target audience is adults who want to watch teenagers get into graphically violent or sexual situations (which we can hopefully agree is a bad idea). These are the ones I take issue with, not all anime and not even all high school anime.

Isn’t ironic in the slightest. Being an animator doesn’t mean you need to enjoy an art style generally based on a medium of animation. These types of games don’t have nearly the same level of animation fidelity and quality that goes into the production of an actual anime, even if they’re stylistically similar. These types of anime games are also exceedingly common in Nintendo directs and don’t seem all that interesting gameplay wise, at least not to me.
