Animatronic Pizza History episode 6: The Circus Playhouse 🎪🍕🎥

Love the circus because today we’re talking about a Pizzeria from the 80s, one that has almost been completely forgotten, Circus Playhouse. This place had a lot of entertaining animatronics, arcade games and it’s like if Chuck E Cheese if he joined the circus. This place got a reimagining in the 90s and actually this place came out in 1982. A fellow KZfaqr named CavitySam has the original animatronics and is trying to bring them back!

Fun fact: They still have the place somewhere to this day but no animatronics. Also the place would’ve fit best for CEC piano cabaret act BB Bubbles. I Think she and Ellie would’ve been great friends lol

There was a Abandoned Circus world band along with other pizza chain animatronics in fun town mountain. I saw urban exploration video where they appeared well the penguin at least, so they were left to rot and vandalized by the slightly unhinged owner of fun town mountain. Edit: they were rescued and sold

I think the fire started is one on the animatronic’s air letted out fast and the metal parts got on fire and that’s how I think the fire started

It’s times like these where I wish I was born in the 80’s and not 2005. I honestly think restaurants should bring back the whole idea of animatronics at restaurants considering I have the feeling kids would be entertained (since five nights at Freddy’s introduced them to animatronics) and the older kids could go to A. Let their little brother/niece/nephew have fun there whilst also enjoying nostalgia if they went there as a kid OR getting the childhood they didn’t have. I never got to go to Chuck E cheese due to it being extremely busy the day we planned to go.

@@pollythefurry6241 Aw dont feel sad! Theres still hope that pizzerias might realize animatronics are cool still...especially with the upcoming fnaf movie and all the people that are fascinated with animatronics due to the fanbase :P

@@rangiem2948 I wasnt entirely referring to fnaf. If you read carefully with what I said, I said fnaf *introduced kids to the concept of animatronics* not that every animatronic franchise is fnaf related. If you also read my second response to someone, I was saying the fnaf movie could bring back the concept of animatronics being in restaurants, as to the kids it would sound amusing, and to the adults it would bring a sense of nostalgia. Not everything is fnaf related, and you completely disregarded my whole point just to point out i mentioned fnaf very breifly. Now thank you, and have a great day. :/

EDIT: 2 years later I thought id just come back and say, I finally got to go to Chuck E Cheese, it was for my 18th birthday. It was a studio C stage and the bot was on random mode meaning it wasnt performing but it was still a great experience to have before stuff like this is completely gone. (Hoping to go to another location nearby with the cyberamics too!)

My mom would passed by a circus playhouse when she was a kid but she was a kid who would dig through dumpsters and heh find showbiz tickets to be let in so she grew up with animatronics a bit

Aight. So the bird's name was Bat-E, it was a pun like Tex S Tiger. The robot CP did serve pizza, and would take it to tables. The clown animatronic had no name. One place had a fire but didn't burn down, there were multiple locations. Circus World Pizza was an entirely different restaurant, although the songs were written by the same producer. The shows were not related. Sorry to sound a but judgmental, it's just for a history video I feel like more research should have been done.

Can they be repaired? At least a little? If not, then even though I wasn't there, I would be the happiest child in the world if I visited a place from the 80s! And yes, it seems to me that the new ones have become worse. Less shadow and less glitter. But this is my opinion! I ask again, can they be repaired?
