Love seeing everyone comment their memories of this song. Mine was always when Ichigo broke through the levels of Las Noches to confront Ulquiorra with the epic staredown, and then hit Ulquiorra with the: “Step away from Inoue.” Ulquiorra: “I was just about to” And then something along the lines of: Ulquiorra: “I wasn’t ordered to harm this woman. However, you are a different matter. Destroying you falls in line with protecting Las Noches.” Ichigo: “I thought I’d have to force you to draw your sword. Does this mean you see me as a worthy opponent?” Ulquiorra: “At the very least, I see you as someone who must be destroyed.”

So there is this version which is a different version of Number One and is off vocal and then there is the instrumental version of Number One. i only figured it out today.

Tbf bleach was the worst out of the 3, but it had the best start arguably out of all 3. Soul society arc and hueco Mundo was amazing.

Interesting thing about this. We all know Number One is basically "The Ichigo Theme" but the first time we hear it The MOST in the Show is Episode 13 (there are a couple parts in the earlier episodes but they are way shorter and harder to recognise), when Orihime First gets her powers. When she uses Tsubaki to attack the Hollow thats been hurting everyone at school. Which could be a VERY SUBTLE piece of Foreshadowing about her and Ichigo's eventual relationship!
