there are several entrances for a reason, yall just got unlucky to enter the worst entrance to go into. u arrive at the west hall entrances early and live at one if the halls and the crowds will calm down around 12-2. cutting lines is fine, none of them are actually official, just make sure to be careful. also, never go on the first day

If you went Saturday, Sunday, or Monday you would know that as soon as doors opened it took 20-30 mins max to get in, with the exception of this entrance since this is the front entrance and most busy one. Saturday is the only day it took a really long time to get into AX until around 1-2 pm. And this guys video is the worst representation of the convention. Yeah the first day was hectic but this particular entrance is the worst choke point of the convention both inside and outside. We got in around 11 am and it wasn’t even this busy. At 12 noon I heard it got bad from a friend, but I went there around 2 pm and it was cleared up. Still busy, but not gridlocked like this vid. This vid must have been taken around noon or 1 pm cuz that’s when it had gotten bad. At that time I was on the main floor taking pics with ppl. It was only gridlocked for a short time on Saturday only. As far as the rest of the convention, it was pretty busy. People sitting around blocking foot traffic didn’t help, but it could have been worse. By Sunday they had put up cones and more staff to help guide foot traffic and that really helped. First day is always the worst in the morning tho.

Yeah this is why after I got there early and made it into the exibit hall, I just stayed there 😂 looked like the walking dead outside trying to make it to the other halls. First time going and shopped some good things but idk bout going back yet

I saw another vlog of a girl 5'2 saying that her group had trouble breathing in some places because the air did not circulate properly. Just imagine somebdoy needing help in there. How long would medical help take to get through??? TOO LONG!

@@nawab256it’s tough cuz fans expect big companies at this event and the big events expect a big turnout. This year wasn’t even the most attendees. Honestly if you go like 45 min to 1 hr after opening there’s no line upon entering and everyone is dispersed by then. It’s still crowded for sure but very manageable and these videos only try to show the worst possible point. And each subsequent day improves as there is less attendees

First time? This is my first year not going and Anime Expo always had a bad rap of how they handle large crowds. You would think that after all these years they would get it together, but the answer is no and as more people become anime fans, its going to get worse.

I'm all for making this ticket to go in there $1,000 that way there's less people I'm sorry but if you want to go for the chief off can watch a live stream of it live stream of the panels $1,000 is a good price because you're only doing this once a year and these people don't even own vehicles or own a home so $1,000 shouldn't be a bad deal especially if you're an anime fan wanting to connect with people who like the same things you do in a one time a year event so $1,000 should actually be an okay thing it's like it's less than going to Japan really like on a flight to Japan is less than that if you think about it I'm using Google Voice to type so I'm too lazy to correct any grammar

All this money and I know Anime Expo saw this con growing years ago. Either find a bigger place or cut off ticket purchases. This is beyond hazardous. Doesn't even look fun at this point I am sure most people are standing at panels and photoshoots can't be too great.

For once I would like to see a cosplayer dressed as an Old Spice or some sort of deodorant thing and then he passes them out like a free take one $1 Walmart do you order it so that everybody can not stink so to speak. I guess I'm going to have to do that I don't mind putting in $100 to get 100 the order in and see if that makes a difference. Also I like to point out this isn't this is no way comfortable this is not a way to meet people really to have the same commonality crap if there's so many people crammed into each other it's only going to create a nuisance it's not going to be a good experience there's got to be other ways to do this connecting just less people gotta show up or you got a raise the prices so that lets people showed up to these things like I I say maybe $1,000 just to just to go in for one day I think $1,000 would be great I don't know how much are the prices now but $1,000 so that you can finally meet people at face-to-face of common interest I think that's a good thing and you know there can be a thing about you can go on dates with people with people who want to go on dates for $1,000 for this anime crap cuz it's very valuable because where else are you going to meet anime people on a daily basis so if you go to this one time a year thing hand over a thousand dollars you know you can you can go on a date.

Tbf these crowds were only in the morning of the first 2 days when commerce areas weren't open yet. It was still crowded but it absolutely wasnt like this the entire con. Don't mislead people

You talk about the safety. u chose to go and then stay? Safety was a concern for you then why did you stay? Did u not have options? There are videos of past expos, they are the same. What is your goal? Not trying to be a dick, I just want to understand your thinking. I also dislike being packed in like a sardine. You can maneuver around if you're patient. Next time, if you intend to go, plan your time/exploration. If you still feel unsafe, just don't go. Maybe report to OSHA? Building is rated for the amount of tickets that were sold. If that isn't the case then file a complaint.

People that struggle at anime expo are the people that don't have a game plan, I have one every year and I see and get to the places I want. My friends on the other hand don't have a game plan and struggle. As for the crowd issue go to New York for a week that will help lol.

We got there first day at 10 am barely waited online it was pretty packed 1st day but I got to my mappa panel and the second day was all panels and the third and fourth day I use for the comedy show, 21 Lounge, beer garden, artist alley, edition hall, shopping .... this expo was amazing and ppl are just overreacting because the first day was the most packed. Make a good plan and you'll have an amazing time.
