西暦5012年。
突如地球へと飛来してきた＜エイリアン＞と、彼らが生み出した＜機械生命体＞により、人類は絶滅の危機に陥った。

I feel exactly the same. I can’t find the words to quite describe it. Little did I know when buying Automata on sale it would quickly become the best video game experience ever. That comes without saying Replicant as well.

I love NieR:Automata. it is my absolute favorite game. I don't know how many times I've played through it. it always fascinates me. everything in this game is perfection. from the story to the characters and the music, which i think is one of the best in the whole gaming world.🥰

Man I am so excited for this, my entire being is just shivering. If this is done well it could be amazing. I enjoy how scarily accurate the scenes we've seen are but I'm also afraid that staying 1-on-1 with the game wouldn't make for a very good anime. Still though, I can't wait to see 2b in her full glory, I wonder if they'll use the official english voice actors for the dub.

Everytime I hear the ruin city music I start to tear up I kid you not I want to break down crying from this show I know it sounds weird but I am allready giving it a good review for the art style and voice acting and music now the story and fight scenes just have to top it off and I will mark it 10 out of 10

This looks so good, so hyped A1-Studios is gonna kill it. God tier animation team. I hope its the entirety of the game and doesn't just end after beating the game once. Third playthrough you play as A2 and the story takes place after the main ending. There some crazy endings as well (A-Z). They already gave Kaguya S3, Lycrios Recoil this year and now this and Solo Leveling next year.

Meanwhile 99% of western actors would be like, "I don't need to play the game, read the book, etc. I'll just work with the script I'm given." Or even worse the characters just become a platform for the actors to promote their own BS agendas. Nothing but selfless love and respect for the material here though and I wish them every success. Can't wait.

I can't wait, one of my favorite games of all time being adapted into an anime is such a treat. I'll get my tissues ready as well since Nier Automata was one of the only games to ever make me cry, I anticipate much tearshed during this anime.

I love that even though Nier Automata is a very gloomy game, the creators and the fans have shown an overwhelmingly positive love for the series. I never expected a wholesome community, and its something that I very much appreciate. Even as I was finishing the game, the community has been very positive and supportive of each other in Ending E, and I'm so glad that I got to experience Nier Automata. :D 10/10 game. I can't recommend this game enough. Glory to Mankind.

You still have time to play it, and I highly recommend it! It is a beautiful game, and it's really amazing how they take advantage of the video game medium. I won't go in further details because it will spoil the fun and story tbh. The anime will be quite different because some things in the game don't really fit in the form of an anime. Even the director/creator, Yoko Taro, said that some things will be different in anime, so it will be better to play the video game first, then watch the anime.

i feel like if you guy had picked a va for lily who was already a fan of the game it would have been much better rather than a clueless va who is nervous and anxious. for an example jolyne from jjba part 6, her va was already a huge fan of the series and took her role in full confidence.

You really must! As they alluded to a bit in the vid, there are aspects of the game in terms of tying the story into the mechanics of play that can't be translated into any other medium. As a game it offers an experience like nothing else.

@@yumi026 To be fair the combat is pretty easy - even basic moves will get you through most of the game (or just play it on easy to focus on the story). I should add though that there's an option to have something like an open internet connection, which I'm pretty sure it will prompt you for at some point. You definitely want that option turned on. And while it's a lot to go through you also definitely need to see all the endings for the full experience. Guaranteed it will be worth it and good luck if you do! :)

@@yumi026 As Disciple of the Caped Baldy said, it's fine to go Easy mode. In fact, when choosing Easy difficulty, you can just play it in Auto-chips (auto attack, fire, evade, etc.), there's no shame in choosing Easy because honestly, the story and music is phenomenal! Though, if you still want to experience combat and no auto-chips, you can still go with Easy and don't turn the Auto-chips (or remove them entirely). My first playthrough of the game was actually in Easy mode because I just wanted to focus on story aspects. And, I also highly recommend doing the side quests because they add value and context to the main story. Nier Automata really works as a video game because it takes advantage of the video game medium, and it is especially important to the story. Anime will be quite different, so it's best to experience both. (If you want to go deeper in the lore, there are also things like stage plays, novellas, novels, concert readings, etc. lol)

Spoilers below: Replicant is very closely connected to Automata, considering that the gestalts were made to house the souls of what humans were left from the events following the true ending to the first Drakengard. Souls were supposed to be transferred back over, and that project failed when Nier defeated and killed the Shadowlord. As a result, humanity was wiped out (save for, technically, Emil, who lost his corporeal form early on in Replicant, who ended up dying anyway close to the end of Automata). That's where Automata comes in. So, it can be argued that it would at least be worth touching on the events of Replicant at least a little. But, then again, that could also be wishful thinking on my part. If they're covering the events of A2's backstory, I can't see why they wouldn't elaborate on anything else that happened outside of Automata.
