Just a heads up, there are extra episodes between seasons called OVA’s. In Crunchyroll they are in a season called OAD’s. These give more world-building and character development. There are 3 considered absolutely necessary to watch to understand the story, and 5 that are more optional if you want more well-rounded side character development. I will provide the official release order here. There is A LOT of misinformation on KZfaq about the order to watch these, but I’ve provided the official release order intended by the author. I am a personal advocate of watching all 5 optional OVA’s as well, but it’s up to the reactor to judge for themselves if they want this world-building, or are impatient and want to continue the main storyline. Season 1 OVA 1: Ilse’s Notebook (necessary) (Alternatively can be watched after S2E1, a popular fan-made order. really doesn’t matter) OVA 2: The Sudden Visitor (optional) OVA 3: Distress (optional) OVA 4: No Regrets Part 1 (necessary) OVA 5: No Regrets Part 2 (necessary) Season 2 OVA 6: Lost Girls: Wall Sina, Goodbye P1 (optional) OVA 7: Lost Girls: Wall Sina, Goodbye P2 (optional) Season 3 Part 1 (S3E1-S3E12) OVA 8: Lost Girls: Lost in a Cruel World (optional) Season 3 Part 2 (S3E13 - S3E22) Season 4

@@Jordan-RamsesThey help understand it better,specially Illse's journal which i have no idea why they turned in to an OVA considering its part of the original run on the manga,and No regrets,since it becomes an important part of Eren's development later on in season 1 and comes full circle in season 3,not watching those is like randomly skipping 3 episodes for no good reason, besides,they are really good.

You can try Vinland saga, it's not on the level of story building of AOT but it's fairly talking about the same topics and character development holds a very importance in the show so I'll definitely give it a try. There's only 2 season, for me the best part is season 2

hunter x hunter is really good. really character driven with basically the greatest friendship of all time. not many fights, if that's what you're into. when we do get fights tho, they're well earned. it's my favourite anime. and the second to last arc is unlike anything I've ever seen before. genuinely just amazing writing, felt like an entirely different show.

this is one of the best animes in the world i like it so much but my first is One Piece if you start watching it you'll be like, instead of wanting it to end, you'll want it to never end, it's so good and each episode is worth it because it's long, there are many possibilities to explore the world and the characters thats why Op is a real treasure of the world and a perfect masterpiece writing by Eichiro Oda

"My parents" is indeed an interpreted translation of content not there in the original Japanese quote. Eren says ”親"(oya) which can mean parents/parent. As you have to put a "the" or an possessive pronoun before a noun in the English language to make it make sense grammatically they added the "my" in the translation ;) In Japanese there are no articles and you barely use pronouns if not needed for context or emphasis.

@@joetweet5979 The drawings in the manga are so much worse looking than the anime and if we talk about the ending, the anime clearly made it way better than in the manga. There is also no AOT without Hiroyuki Sawano and his OSTs, the anime is just better 👌
