Hence the snowball fight vision while fighting Denji, the hybrid style weapons from the head and arm and also later Makima telling Denji he killed Aki when he maybe could have saved him. Not only that, but Future Devil doesn't even show up to comment on how Aki died until after Denji fights him.

It was already introduced, even tho it's just by statements. But there were a lot of impliement that he is the final and strongest of the 4 horsemens. Everytime they were talking about horsemens they'd always put Death Devil at last, it was like they put him as the final boss for some reason. If not, maybe he is close to the Darkness Devil or other primordials.

I’m pretty sure they stated in the manga that “primal fears” lead to the strongest devils. Meaning afraid of the dark, spiders, confined places, pain, death, humiliation, loneliness, things we’re afraid of even if we haven’t experienced it ourselves, because it’s just programmed into our brain.
