The anime stops here even in the version of 90s (that in my opinion was a lot better, more dark and better animated). The manga wen A LOT more far in the story and it escale with "ancient science" (our actual science more or less), world devastation, angels and demons, etc etc but unlckily prob even for the mangaka it was too much: killing dark schneider was pointless at some point, 'cause he would revive anyway and stronger than before, and it never ended.
