Anita did this concert at age 62. I can't think of another performer who could pull this off at her age. She sounds exactly like she did when her career started. That band is cooking with grease!!!!

Amen Amen,. I saw her live at The Arie Crown in Chicago back in the 80's. An u talking about a great damn Show!!. Her singing & Smacking that left leg her thru the whole show. I'm looking at Her Program I bought along with two pictures of her. She is such a Beautiful Beautiful talented Woman. I got 2 talk about her 2 Herb Kent on WGCI radio & taped it. GREAT Memories. I traveled from Texas to this concert in Vegas!!! She was absolutely amazing!!! This was a gift from my kids that I will never forget. Ms. Anita did the darn thing. Oh and I forgot...her background singers were on point. Best concert I ever attended.

Totally agree!!! A lot of her earlier live performances; she was a bit "tight lipped/stiff". Anita has gotten more "loose" with time! I've watched many of her Farewell Tour recordings but THIS particular one is by far my FAVE!?!? Her soulfulness cannot be touched! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!!! ❤❤❤

When she sings tears fall from my eyes because her voice and the lyrics are so powerful. I feel it in my spirit. I saw in concert when I was 19 an and 21. I took my lovely mother. My best friend. Unfortunately my mom died from cancer in 2003. Anita Baker's music hold many memories. I'm 51 now and I must go to see here in concert again. I love me some ANITA BAKER...✌💜

I know exactly how you feel, my spirit feels Anita too. I think I was 27 when I saw her Rapture tour. I don't have the same experience as you, and I am sorry for your loss. For me, she helped me everyday to get past my addiction and her voice still soothes me. I have seen her a total of 4 times in concert. I hope she will continue to do concerts, but she says she is done. Let's hope!

I saw her "open" for Luther Vandross in Chicago, 1988, but I really went just to hear her. She held her mic at arms length when she hit those outfield notes. Stunning voice. Generous to her band. A concert never forgotten. And still...she still has it.

Man I saw her once in concert and that's exactly how she did it. When she starting singing I was like WOW !! I was awe the rest of the night. It was at the Essence Festival 2002 I think.

You got it wrong there. She wasn’t opening for Luther. They were co- headlining. At the time she was so sought after that Luther was concerned she might steal the limelight and resorted to not so nice tactics. This led to Anita retaliating and it went on from there.

Peter Redmond I doubt the July dates will even apply considering Covid-19 around the world. In Miami we are on lockdown for the foreseeable future. I am hoping that we will all be open by July but I doubt the world will ramp up so fast.

I'm ashamed. I used to cringe at the gooeyness of this as a pre teen...now I'm a dusty 40plus something and I'm so in love with his song. It's like I didn't hear it back then and can suddenly hear it now! Wow. Mind blowing!

She is everything!!! I love how she intentionally saves the more evenly mixed and more chest-dominant mixed belts for towards the end of “Sweet Love.” Smart and efficient vocalist!

Her voice has aged like fine wine... I love the lower tone of her voice now that shes older... ALL of us that are young now will also have a much deeper voice in our later years and I hope my singing voice ages like fine wine also..

There is no words! this women will always be AWESOME! i was freshly graduated from high school, moved out of my mothers home, working and fell in love when this album came out. We use to sit in my car and play the TAPE, yes Tape all night long on repeat. memories memories. On her Christmas album, there is a song "family man" my word..it's on repeat every weekend!
