Date stamp:1985 in Penang, Malaysia. One of my life milestones.... Thank you, Anita Sarawak...

My first concert ever was Anita's in KL. It was in 1975, I think. Then I went to the US to further my studies and saw her in her show at the Ceasars Palace Casino in Las Vegas in 1986. Then I happened to move to Las Vegas and lived three miles from her house. I love her. No other Malays can do what she has done in the entertainment world. Have not of her lately. I know it's hard for Malays to be like her because of the religious landscape in Malaysia. Well, I am still in the USA.

Thank you for sharing. FYI, latest on her as at 2023 Eid festival, she has chosen to retire from the entertainment world and lives a normal life with her husband in the US. (Location:- Unknown). May you be well and happy.

She called me on June 23, 2021. She is doing fine, still with Abg Mahathir, has quit singing and enjoy cooking, taking care of Abg Mahathir and playing with dirt (gardening).

This is sad.Nobody even care to give a comment.Well, let me say this is such a treasure.I'm from the new generations.When this was recorded, I was still a child. Still I can appreciate this, now,in 2012. Everybody can talk about how great Anita is when performing.But, if you're there having the true experience of her show, you will have to say she IS a great performer. I have a new respect for this woman.Ghim, thank you for sharing your memory with us.

Yes, but not with the one mention in the video. I was 20 then and truth was I was shaking in my knees at first but Anita manage to put me at ease. She's a real PRO and still the force to be reckon with till today.
