Hello Chris, This duet song of these 2 great singers is incredible which consists of a Mongolian band with unique string instruments. Dimash and Tengri were both prior contestants from The Singer 2017 & 2018 respectively. Tengri sang the song in Mongolian then Chinese, Dimash in Kazakh then Chinese. These 2 great singers have respect for each other and have similar traditions since Dimash has Mongolian descent. Dimash is just extra ordinary and a master of music. Great reaction Chris.

I strongly recommend you to react to Dimash's other duets. They are all amazing. You will see how Dimash can sing with others in harmony without overpowering them and still stand out. In this performance Dimash sticked more the classical singing technique and style, that's why you hear him different. Is one of the few times he has done this in almost 100% of the song. Tengri Is Mongolian and the instruments and the "throat singing" are both traditional Mongolian music. While the blues lights were in the background D was singing in his native KZ language. Once the lights changed D and Tengri where both singing in the Mongolian language. I also love that I have been exposed to other countries traditional because of Dimash. I had seen and heard Tengri sing on Singer 2018 and when I heard of this dues, I was very curious as to how these 2 singers would sing together. I adore this performance. It is such a beautiful traditional Mongolian folk song. Thank you so much for your reaction to this duet!!!

Bonsoir Chris, Tengri est un chanteur Chinois, plus précisément de Mongolie, à la technique de chant assez particulière (tout en sourire). Les vocalises (je ne sais pas si l'on peut appeler cela ainsi) sont donc une particularité Mongole, et c'est vrai que cela résonne comme dans les chants Celtiques. Effectivement, lorsque Dimash chante en duo, son but n'est pas de démontrer qu'il peut chanter, plus haut (plus bas), plus fort, plus longtemps, mais privilégie l'harmonie des voix. Ce que j'apprécie dans ses duos c'est que Dimash, veut combiner les techniques vocales provenant de tout horizon, pas forcément connus, ce qui nous pousse à faire des découvertes musicales mais aussi géographiques et culturelles. Beautiful duet. An old Mongolian Folk song, sung in harmony by these two men! I really enjoyed the clothing they worn that seemed to represent the harmony between old & new. The stage set was excellent, as was the band, with odd looking but beautiful sounding modern/ old instruments. Thank you for reviewing this song.
