Yeah, it's a big boy... I left mine at a friend's home over the holidays and told him to just gift it to his teenage boys... they need it more than me! Purchased a 737 and 747 charger with 240w cables for myself.

Used mine the other night to add power to an Ecoflow River 2 that was running an AC powered fan for a family member. USB -A out on the 347 to USB-C input on the River 2 since it would not work USB-C to C for some reason. Got them through the night running the fan pulling 28-30w.

I wish Anker would marry this and the 140w PD 737 together. I want like a 150-200WH powerbank that also does at least 100w PD output. They and pretty much every other brand either had high capacity but low output. Or high output but such low capacity it almost doesnt make sense. And yeah i know the end result would be a bit of a brick. But myself and many other mac book pro users would find this very useful! Right now i carry around a Bluetti unit. But that also has an inverter and other rubbish in it i dont need.

Without PPS it's not gonna fast charge Samsung phones. Another proprietary measure to make you buy Samsung products. If you like big batteries the Baseus ones are great! The 20K mAh 65W ons is really nice.

Yes, that's why I improperly called it "proprietary". So that people that want to fast charge their Samsung devices, after buying a couple of adapters that don't fast charge are gonna go to Samsung. Very few powerbanks have it though.

@StopwatchGod yeah for about 20-30 minutes. Then it throttles down from 25 watts to 15 watts.

148 WH is well over the 100 WH airlines allow! 2:26 the info on the back of the power bank is confusing. Battery capacity: 20,000mAh 7.4Vdc/148Wh Cell: 10000mAh*4pcs: 5Vdc: 26000mAh So what is the capacity: 20000, 26000, or 40000?

It's 40K mAh at 3.7vVdc, but the batteries are in a series, which means the voltage is doubled to 7.4V. Therefore, 7.4Vdc at 20K mAh makes 148Wh.

I did trust this company bought Anker 737powerbank it's broken after about a month of use. Now it won't take a charge or give a charge and apparently the temperature display says it's -40 with zero percent battery charge basically it's broke. Seems like the software on this power bank has overcomplicated things with the fancy display showing -40 temp when it isnt. I will never buy anything off this company again what a ripoff for the price. Customer services from them is terrible to. Hopefully somebody elss reads this and won't make the same mistake. 👍

You’re the first person I’ve heard call their customer service terrible. As a paying customer, I’ve contacted them twice. One resulted in a free replacement and the other was a recall and they gave me a refund.

@@wwjoshdew well they won't honour their 24-month guarantee because I bought it off of private seller on eBay but new still in the box and sealed with zero battery cycles. I got it to about 7 battery cycles before it gave up while being charged on the charger that I use for everything without a problem saying minus 40 temperature. Anker says this. We regret to inform you that we noticed the product is not purchased from AnkerDirect or our authorized resellers from the order details you provided. Unfortunately, we are only able to process a warranty claim on items purchased through our authorized sellers on eBay, such as AnkerDirect. At a last resort I've watched the tear down of this power bank. That seems to be a hidden switch inside I'm wondering if that will actually hard reset the software. According to anchor there is no other way of hard resetting this device if it crashes or glitches out on the software.

I got the Anker PowerCore 40k yesterday and I like it, but I don't like how its USB-A to USB-C which isn't that big of a deal, because most of my devices and accessories are USB-C to USB-C my only devices that aren't USB-C my iPhone, and AirPods, but I do use a USB-C to Lighting for faster charging. I'm upgrading my iPhone next year and hopefully is USB-C, so I can finally ditch lightning.

They missed a GREAT opportunity to make this FOUR USB C ports and more like 60 or 100 watts.

Go buy a couple of USB-C to USB-C cables, make sure they are rated for more than 30W. Then you can use the USB-C ports to charge 2 USB-C devices, and the 2 USB-A ports to charge 2 other USB devices with USB-A or USB-C or USB-Micro ports. Of course you need a USB-A to USB-A cable to charge a USB-A device. Really not sure if USB-A devices were ever able to be charged this way. But whatever. A USB-A to USB-Micro cable to charge a Micro USB Device. Or 2 of these cables to charge 2 Micro devices. 1 or 2 USB-A to USB-C cables to charge more than 2 USB-C devices. 2 devices with the USB-C ports and 1 or 2 devices with the USB-A ports. Well this is getting long better stop.

Re the super fast charge, I would not be that worried for a phone. My Samsung Galaxy S10+ fast charges at 15w on the power stations and batteries I have. These new phones that charge at 45w will just end up with dead batteries sooner.

I’d say yes. It stores a ton of energy and can recharge your phone several times. It’s heavy and bulky so it’s not my first choice. But if I needed to power a usb device for many days (like a usb fan, light, or etc) or needed a power bank that would last me a few days on one charge, I’d get this one.

Actually that's not for me this huge one and only 30w !!! I expected like 100w there's one 25.000mah from Ugreen and it's support 140w.. for power banks anything less than 65w is not for me

Hey I've been looking at getting one of those Anker 30w chargers but I keep reading that they get really hot. In your experience do they get really hot when charging something at the full 30 watts?

They have power stations, their smallest one has 70% more battery capacity compared to this powerbank, plus a 60W USB-C, 2 USB-A, a 200W AC outlet, a 120W car socket, and solar recharging for $250

If its supposed to be a 40,000 power bank why does it say 20,000 on the back?

It’s 40,000mAh at 3.7V, which is usually the standard lithium cell voltage that these mAh numbers are given in- but this power bank runs at 7.4V, which is double of 3.7. Double the voltage, half the mAh to 20,000, still works out to the same number of watt hours.

Technically, yes. You can charge it. The issue you’ll run into is it trying to charge the laptop instead. lol. Unless the laptop doesn’t support charging via type c, it should output to the battery in that case

I have a solar diy setup , powerbanks for me helps me to collect as much (solar energy) as I can in the day with power banks. Because in the day the 105 amp deep cycle battery gets filled most days of the year. The bigger the power bank the more joy I have. I even converted 2 old laptop batteries to usb powerbanks. Wasn't easy to salvage some of the parts needed to built the power banks but it's fun. The charging speed of the those batteries on solar free energy is part of the joy. Seeing this video, Mr Josh you kindly reminded I need to level up 😁😎 Thank you
