At 2:30, you can see it says to use USB c 1 port for laptops. And the photo at the 9:18 mark, it shows the laptop connected to the bottom port, and the phone on the top port. Plus the bottom port has the laptop logo on it. I missed that while filming. You can charge your laptop at 60 watts and phone at 27 watts, for a combined total of 87 watts, if you connect them to the correct ports. I'll make a follow up video soon showing that!

during a power outage or a long road trip, or if you do any camping/hiking, this thing can charge one device so many times. Can charge a steam deck oled three full times, and laptop, and so much more. I don't use it every day (since I have a ton of power banks), but when I need it, it's always there for me.

It does look like a neat unit, surprise they did not fit a 12v socket on it. I would use this with a solar panel connected to charge the smaller Anker battery banks. But then to charge all the Anker battery banks you own and use you might want another one to work along side this. Re a solar panel to use with it get a rigid panel if using at home, you will get a far better panel output wise for less. Just keep it within the VOC (open circuit voltage) specs of the 548.

It was on the tip of your tongue, LiFePO4. LFP or Lithium Iron Phosphate. Yeah, the weight difference compared to its NMC counterpart for the same mAh capacity is quite noticeable. Looking at the specs, this thing is definitely no slouch potato. You can just about throw just about any electronic device short from a kitchen sink at it. Sure it doesn't have an AC power inverter in it, but a compromise that I can live with and the pop up light is nice useful added utility touch for a camp or to light up a room in a grid outage. Now, I got to go buy one. Thanks for enabling my power bank addiction. :-P...

I'm a battery nerd also and an Anker addict! Just got my 548 Power Bank a few days ago and love it. Have you looked into a solar panel being able to charge it? I went down to my local Harbor Freight and bought a 100 Watt solar panel, then ordered a XT60 connector cable from Amazon. My goal is to eventually be able to charge all of my cordless tools via solar. The Anker 548 powers my phone, tablet and laptop and will use it to charge all of my video/cameras when away from home. I just subscribe to your channel and have been watching some of your videos, very good content! I haven't been doing much with my channel but hopefully will be adding more content very soon. Cool and all but for the size they could have included proper PPS support. Also Anker is trying to be premium by charging premium prices but their website is still absolutely useless, half of their product listings don't even have a proper spec sheet or a table for input/output voltages. Very disappointing. Their products lately seem pretty half-baked but they slap some LCD screen on it and charge double of what its worth.

Just purchased mine and found out that the solar input on this is not compatible with any of Anker’s solar panels. The panel has to be rated under 24 volts for it to work. Anker really missed the mark not making this compatible with their own panels.
@wwjoshdew
@wwjoshdew 11 ай бұрын
I got a comment from someone else saying that, which saved me 329 dollars plus tax. They messaged Anker and the response they got was that Anker is aware and will be releasing a new version that is compatible. So I just might be returning my 548 because I was really looking forward to solar charging!! Then buy the updated 548 when it’s released. Or complain and be sent the new version. Because that’s unacceptable.
@TheStopwatchGod
@TheStopwatchGod 11 ай бұрын
@@wwjoshdew Any solar panel, not just Anker ones, that has an Open Circuit Voltage between 10-24V should work with the 548. However because of that 3A limit, any solar panel with less than 20V power output will not get you the full 60W solar input. According to Solar Power Supply, the Anker 100W solar panel has an Open Circuit Voltage of 26.5V, which explains why it doesn’t work with the 548- it’s voltage limit is too low. EcoFlow’s 110W solar panel is not just cheaper, it also has an OCV that is under 24V, meaning it should work with the 548W. However because of that 3A limit on the 548, and the 18.4V output voltage of the EcoFlow panel under load, you may not get the full 60W solar input. EcoFlow’s 60W panel may work as well due to it’s 24.5V OCV, and since voltage goes down as amperage goes up, this panel would be the best candidate for solar charging the 548, assuming the 548 is comfortable with 500mV extra voltage. That said, this solar panel’s compatibility with the 548 is a big IF.

@@wwjoshdew ok what you are seeing is the cells are 4000 mAh at 15 pieces or batteries. Multiply in those two gets you the 60k mAh. What is throwing us off it they are saying 12k at 16volts. If you multiply 12 by 5 you get 60 mAh. Then divide 16 by 5 you get 3.2 volts. Which they don't have listed. Most 18650 batteries are 3.7 volts. At 4000 mAh it would be 222wh. I have no idea what the 34000mah is about. Not sure if you have them but I would do a load test on the DC and an ac test when charging it and see what exactly is going on.

@@AndrewHudsonSmith Their 60 watt 9-panel folding panel doesn't charge my Powerhouse 400, apparently it only charges the original powerhouse. No wonder it was cheap. Some of their other sogens have really wierd voltage ranges, locking users into to Anker's own panels instead of generic flex / breifcase ones. Bluetti for me!

I'm using the XT60 solar imput to charge the 548 with a Poyiccot USB C to XT60 Adapter Cable right now. Charging at 60 watts no problem, so I confirm that the solar imput does work. Might be your solar panels? The way I plan to charge this power bank is, indirectly via solar panels connected to a solar generator, then have the power bank connected to the generator via the XT60/USB cable.

Anker are a terible company. Ther 737 power bank has a common problem glitch temperature displays -40 temp rurning it into a door stop. This new lump can only charge at 60w pd3.0 max 20v 5a. Thers better power banks running the newer pd3.1 28v 5a at better price compared to rip off w anker speaking from experience. 👍
