I think Ann Coulter's nimble alacrity at avoiding embarrassment by changing the point of each question given to her, while erstwhile claiming that this public moral concern is deceitful manipulation by an unfair assessment of Trump's honesty and integrity, deserves her an award of five out of five Pinocchios, and surely makes her actually one of Donald Trump's equals in political debate.

Never understood why some Americans consider Brits intellectually superior just because they have a snobbish accent. The two examples here proof the exact opposite, along with Oliver or the old liberal mare Piers.
@pierrewave7235
@pierrewave7235 7 жыл бұрын
As a Brit, I can never understand why you gave jobs to these people. I can't remember the interviewer's name, it's Emily something, and she is a typical left biased, 'let the lefty speak' then interrupt the right wing interviewee. We have to put up with these sort of people all the time here. As for Piers Morgan, he's pretty much a standing joke in Britain, working on morning television, of the variety of soft and fuzzy stories about puppies and celebrities and shit. I don't know Oliver, is he the twat who was urging Trump to run and offered to pay etc? We do have some decent commentators here, but they are few and far between, and get little air-time, especially if they are right-leaning(Milo, Douglas Murray, Katie Hopkins) although we don't have anybody in Ann Coulter's league. Perhaps we could borrow her for a while?
@klcbsoft
@klcbsoft 7 жыл бұрын
@Oliver, yeah, that's the one. Besides: belittling Brits in general is far from me. I'm neither US nor UK but anglo-american as can be and what baffles me is the choice of Britisch personalities they chose as TV-presenters. Hope you didn't take offence from my somewhat generalizing words up there :) Greets!

There is no doubt who Hitchens would have supported - he would’ve supported Hillary Clinton. Trump represented everything he despised about America. Hitchens was an intellectual snob and would’ve abhorred every one of Trump’s policy proposals, especially the appointment of religious extremists to The Supreme Court. Part of me has to wonder if Hitchens could’ve had a meaningful impact on the debate because he would’ve vehemently opposed his candidacy, even though he also despised Mrs. Clinton, he probably would’ve said that she’s improved since 2008, that it’s a different time now and that she’d have to be a placeholder to knock Trump out of contention, at least until 2020.

Hated hillary but merely because you impose a no fly zone doesn't mean you *want* to go to war. It means you are setting conditions under which it may happen, which in of themselves are complicated by the political environment. I do agree that the GOP's singular achievement has been passing significant tax breaks for the super rich and corporations and that would have been an interesting subject to pursue. Sadly, it all degenerated into whether we should take Trump seriously when he says patently stupid things.

Here we have the corrosive effect of mixing 'comedy' with 'politics' - it muddies the water and allows people to pick and choose what is serious political discussion or positions and what is merely 'comedy' - applying such infinite flexibility to the 'truth' will lead to no good, no matter what one's political stance is.

A quick note to all Brits posting this controversy between biscuits and cookies. We here in the U.S. have made it clear that biscuits are enjoyed best with gravy. Yes we have both were Brits have one and it bothers you to come to a conclusion that America is simply a better place. More choices less confusion. We have coffee Brits have tea. We have football Brits have soccer m, america has baseball, Brits cricket....America wins

I don't like Ann Coulter... but, I am so embarrassed to be British watching this. It is so painfully obvious how they are trying to corner her with selective bits of information, not to mention how many times the mic is simply taken away from here mid comment... loads of times. I don't know about Trump and his tax, such things are complex and take ages to investigate but here we see short sharp baseless accusations with the prime objective of making him look like a 100% tax evader less any knowledge. Even in Germany, where I live, and tax is a MASSIVE issue (you're really hounded here in that regard) you can also write off ALL your losses against tax and as such may not pay tax that year. When you go into profit again... you do. This so childish, the UK press and media are so excruciatingly childish and unbelievably facile. It's horrendous.
