Oh my goodness, Shar!!👀 I cannot believe you did not try this during Create 7!!😳 I can proudly say, Yes, I finished this project during Create 7!!🤣😂 And as a newbie at Create 7, I am not ashamed to say I was only able to complete one item from each class, the Angel ornament, 1/2 of the House ornament, one flip card, one all boxed in box and card, one easel card, one explosion box and this Journal.😍 I was very excited to see Anna’s spin on journal making and she exceeded my expectations. As an experienced journal maker, I can tell you that Anna’s ribbon bound journal die creates a really beautiful journal without the time it usually takes (me) to measure and cut papers, covers, and signature pages. BUT WAIT, I have some exciting news for you, Shar…Anna’s new Concertina Concentric Card Dies (which I know you have🥰) can cut your signature covers and pages perfectly!!!🤣😂🙌🏽 I haven’t used the little page decorative edge die from this die set since since getting my Concertina dies which I purchased specifically for journal making.💡 So now all you have to do is cut the holes, but if you are old school like me, you can pierce the holes yourself with a paper piercer and skip using that little die too. The stitching was new to me too, but after watching the videos a few times, I was able to get the hang of it and love the way it looks.🤩 These journals make really great gifts and I really enjoy making them for friends and family! Great tutorial, can’t wait to see your next Part 2!!👏🏽👏🏽

Some of Anna’s papers are longer on one side so the die will fit. I learned that from a Vianney Creates video on this.

You can do it! I was putting it off to 😆 If someone hadn’t asked for it I still wouldn’t have done it. But it was easier than I thought. Now to decorate it. 🤔

This is so beautiful! I was beginning to regret having spent so much money but not now!!! You did such a gorgeous job. Can you tell me where you bought the cording? Also, is there a name for the special paper you used for the covers? Wow! I can’t wait to make these as gifts!!!❤️❤️❤️

The cording came from the Create box so I’m not sure where to get more. The paper also came from Create so I would reach out to Anna Griffin and see if she can get you that info. Sorry I can’t be more helpful. 😔 I need more cording and paper too 😂

Great Video! Between this video and a Link Stitch Book video by Sarah Matthews (from Sketchbook Revival 2022) I’m feeling a little more confident to use the Ribbon Bound Journal dies. I may just not do the criss cross step with thread/ribbon; cause that’s the part I’m still leery about. I watched journals Anna’s design team made for HSN and some are very chunky…like I like.

On the video it looks like the ribbon part was easy but trust me it took me like 3 tries to get it right. But the end result is really nice.

I see Anna Has some of her crop at home level 7 for sale. Which would you say is your favorite. I already have China cabinet one and the flip card, so I was wondering what was your favorite after these 2 that I already bought. I think this little book is cute but I don’t think I want to do all the work involved in fixing this book. Thanks for sharing anyway. Please let me know your favorites for the last crop you went to. Pat in NC

My favorite was the all boxed in dies. the one I made the valentines box with. it is very versatile because it can be a gift or a box for your cards and it was very easy to assemble.

Each section was about 20”. I don’t know anything else about the cord because it came in the Create kit and Anna didn’t specify the size. Sorry I know that’s not very helpful.
