Anna, When this came out I was homeless, on drugs, and then jail. I now have a house, job, and husband. this song took over my school for an entire year-- I still remember being in elementary school (around 4th grade) and every single student was singing this and bringing plastic cups to school and doing the cup song together in the classroom, the hallways, the playground, etc until getting busted by the teacher. I'm graduating high school this year but won't ever forget this song. really great memories.

When this came out I was homeless, on drugs, and then jail. I now have a house, job, and husband. This song and “Clover Cage - The Chess Piece” are the two songs that helped get rid of my depression. Ikrr ik u probably don’t care but this song makes me SO sad bc the last time I heard it was when I was in Year 3 (or 2nd grade) and so much has changed since then for example I had my 1st relationship this year, (still with them) got bullied, made friends with my “bullies” and even had my first Christmas without my dad a couple days ago (he left the country). I always wish that I could go back to those days.

It's weird coming back to songs that are like this one. 8 years ago. Yet, just like yesterday, you can still clearly remember the day it was released. You can still remember the trends that people would do at school or coffee shops with cups due to this. Especially if you had vine. Feels so weird to see how quickly we all grew up.
