What I love about her in Eclipse doing that speech is that it adds a lot of depth to her character. For most of the saga she's seen as pretty vapid and emotionally inept, but that speech really adds a nice element to her character!
@milicaspasojevic4387
@milicaspasojevic4387 Жыл бұрын
I partly agree. It was her moment to “shine” in a way. Though i do think that her character was actually a rl cool “normal” girl. Like she had normal teenage troubles and lead a normal teenage life. It’s just that those things were outshined by al the supernatural stuff and life and death situations. This speech kinda brought back the feeling that they were all just kids figuring out life. Sorry for rumbling, just felt to write this ❤
@brandifaith3410
@brandifaith3410 Жыл бұрын
I agree, I like the depth & seriousness it added to her character. But what I love most about this scene is the contrast between what she is saying and what Bella is about to do. She’s saying that now is the time for them to go figure out who they really are, to fall deeply in love and then realize you’re not really that in love enough to marry that person and then end the relationship and fall deeply in love with someone else and do that over and over, to make a bunch of mistakes and it’s fine because now is the time to figure out their lives and who they are and what they want to be, and they are contrasting all of that with Bella who is making the very serious and permanent decisions to get married and end her mortal life. The speech kind of makes you realize the ridiculousness of what Bella is doing and the life she’s living. Not enough to fully pull you out of the movie or make you hate her choices necessarily, but enough that it shows the seriousness of what she’s doing and how she’s somewhat ending her life as she knows it & how she will be leaving all of her friends and family behind.

I actually did like the speech in Eclipse. Tbh it was one of my favorite scenes, not because Kristin/Bella was moved by the speech, but because the speech was actually amazing! Focusing on how it's the time to make mistakes always reminds me that it's okay to make mistakes cause so many people think making mistakes are such horrible things to do. the way she said nice things about Kristin in Twilight because either she genuinely thinks that or she knows that Kristin got so much hate because of a role she had to play and she's not really like that... Either way, OH MY GOD WHAT A NICE WOMAN

I remember years ago while I was working for Hasbro Toys and "the cup song" was still huge, we actually created a cups Music Game based on this concept. I don't know if it was ever released but Anna certainly made a huge impact with this!

I'm glad they included 'Camp" in this. She doesn't talk about that movie at all so it was nice to hear her experience on that film. I remember watching that years ago and she stole her scenes!

Seeing her with dark hair, she reminded me of a young Linda Carter. 😂😍 Love watching her movies and hearing her sing, but really love watching her interviews because she is so honest and doesn't try to be glossy, "This is me, what you see is what you get." Favorite interview is on Hot Ones. 🥰🥰🥰

I remember the Cup song being such a thing when I was in high school that during every break we had the classes would compete with eachother to see which group did it best and more synchronized lol You rock Anna! Such a great actress 🎉
