Are you aware how attractive Anna is in both personality and looks? He didn't only go over variations with her, he is the one who challanged her to play the game in the first place, even though the difference in skill makes it like playing against a toddler for him. Usually, the weaker player is the one challenging the stronger player, hoping that he agrees to play at all

@@neerajnongmaithem392 Okay, thanks for that, I've just watched it through again and I'm not good enough at chess to disagree with you. Although I would say the next move he made with the knight the computer says was the best move which wouldn't have been possible if he hadn't made the "bad move" first. Like I say though you're probably better at chess than me. I've played for a long time on and off but as soon as I get to the 1500s I nearly always lose.
@SamaraVidZ
@SamaraVidZ 2 жыл бұрын
@@funkfireman It's actually very common to get a "best move" right after blundering, since the computer looks at the position objectively as if it was new each turn. (Ex: You realize your queen is trapped, so you trade it for a bishop out of desperation, the computer will say it's "best move" since the blunder already happened last turn, you're making the best out of the current situation)
@funkfireman
@funkfireman 2 жыл бұрын
@@SamaraVidZ Yeah I get that and I do agree with the comment Neeraj has made above. I'm just saying that if he deliberately made the first move which the computer thinks is dodgy knowing that the next move he could then make with the knight is the best move. Then technically for him the first move is also a good move as long as that's his plan and it works out which it did. lol :)

@@pneumonoultramicroscopicsi4065 I think it's more that those "bad" (ChessNetwork calls them "hope chess") moves have a good chance of working against weaker players. Similar to how you can play for a win with Black if your opponent is lower rated. So Anish is making the game interesting, giving her a chance to win if she finds the right moves, but also giving himself good practical chances (especially with low time) if she fails to find the reply - all in one. It's all for fun but it also makes a lot of sense to play like that. An alternative could be playing very solid and if Anna doesn't make serious mistakes herself, slowly grind her down. But that's not without risks too - there is only so many moves you can make in 2mins.
@alexeyvlasenko6622
@alexeyvlasenko6622 2 жыл бұрын
I think it's necessary to experiment with questionable moves every once in a while, or one will not improve anymore. In fact, I think when chess AIs are being trained, they have some chance to make a random, almost always bad move rather than the one they evaluate as the best one. If this is not done, they fall into unproductive patterns, where they plateau at some level of skill and cease improving. It's probably the same with humans.

You could check it at the moment you played f5 or even the previous move instead of Qg4. Ask your dad about this plan, for sure he knows some Tal games with that plan. I am noticing the eval bar swinging wildly. Anish then points out while playing that the eval bar is swinging wildly. haha

Some chess players are class. Anni joking with Anna, then talking about different lines she could have tried - no rancour or showing off, just loving the game. Reminded me of Spassky, my favourite gentleman of chess.

I used to have a GM buddy. He would get 1 min, I got 10. He never lost, he simply thinks while my clock is running. He also played blindfolded and never lost. GM’s are on a different level, one we regular people can’t comprehend.

Yeaaay! Loving these Edit: aw Anna's always so humble. Idk a lot of ppl (outside the community) take it as a lack of confidence and weakness, but I think it's cool Edit2: wow, even after consecutive best and brilliant moves from Anish crazy how the eval is still dead even 3:22
