夜の倉敷美観地区を散策いたしました。運河沿いの美しさはもちろんのこと、どこまでも続く本町通りにとても感動しました。昼間には多種多様のお店が歴史深い景観の中で軒を連ねており１日中散策をしても飽きることがなかったです。
Kurashiki Ward began to prosper when it was designated as one of the Edo Shogunate branch offices in 1642. Mansions and warehouses with white-walled Namako walls are lined up along the road on the south side of Mt. Tsurugata from the Kurashiki River.
In 1930, Japan's first Western Art Museum, the Ohara Museum of Art, was built. It houses one of El Greco's works.
Kurashiki Ivy Square, a tourist facility that was renovated and reused from the former Kurabo Industries spinning factory built on the site of the Daikansho ruin in 1888, is also a representative building of this area.
