the Italian race is completely productive! When I was in Greece I had this breed, it is sensitive to diseases and it is difficult to get rid of it because it needs a lot of honey. Be strong!

That’s the first time I have come across a Nuc being taken without a queen in it , I know you were short of queens and that some frames had queen cells on them and the man had bees before so Atleast he would be able to deal with what ever situation arises over the next few weeks . I’ m just wondering is that why Pavel left a number of Q . Cells in each Nuc , to give it a better chance . I have watched a lot on you tube about swarm control and most say to pick 1 good cell and destroy the rest . Does Pavel ways leave them all and let nature take its course ? In his opinion which way is best , leave a number or just the 1 . Learning lots from his / your informitative videos and thank you both for what you are doing .🙏

I want more than one, because you don't know if one is a dud or a defective queen in one.

I was more concerned on the amount of bees on each frames as seemed light, even after shaking some more into the box. On the multiple queen cells I hope the buyer knows to knock these down as soon as his queen emerges in case ends up with cast swarms.

Depends on the situation. Sometimes he leaves them and sometimes he leaves only one good one. We left the queen-cells because we knew we were going to do more splits. Because we are expanding our bee yard and have more hives than an average person, we always need extra queen-cells. Whether to save another hive or to make splits... etc. For that reason sometimes we just leave them be as is, but keep a close eye on them. With swarms, the real solution is to expand correctly or do splits and that usually dramatically cuts down the possibility of them swarming again. Even if you remove the queen-cells the bees can easily and quickly make more queen-cells and swarm again. If you have very few hives and don't need extra queen-cells you can leave just one good queen cell and expand the hive or do a split to prevent swarming. Leaving one good queen-cell is usually not enough to prevent swarming, must expand or do a split also. That would be the best solution. I'm not sure what our friend is going to do with the extra queen cells, that is up to him. It is his bees now. He can decide what is best for his bee yard. Also, because most of the flying bees were out flying during the day, he mostly got young bees that are not flying just yet, the chances of them swarming again anytime soon is extremely low. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching! :)

Anna Kra , yeh that helps , have to do a split this week , a couple of uncapped q cells ,was going to keep one cell and destroy the rest but now might leave two for insurance . Thanks again .👍🤞

This is the one in the city. We had a lot of losses in this location. But we managed to turn it around quick. We had a few swarms situate themselves in the beehives and we managed to do a ton of splits from them and from the remaining hives! Thanks for watching! :)
