Interesting to see how fast their refresh rate are. Most of the ones that used to be fitted on our buses here had much slower refresh rates, sometimes painfully so.

That's amazing!!!!! I'm working on my own flipdot arduino library... how did you import the gfx library to your own??? I can't figure out how to get one library to talk to another :(
@Fredovsky3 жыл бұрын
I edited the function that draws pixels for my own function that flips dots. The rest of the library stayed as is :)

I totally think this would be amazing on a roadside traffic sign. The power use would be so much lower.
@Fredovsky9 ай бұрын
It was generally being used as signs so probably it has served this purpose, until LEDs took over.

It’s a mechanical display. It’s an interesting old tech and still used. More on it soon :)

You’re the first one requesting something other than Doom or Bad Apple. Congrats ! Unfortunately 16px in height is very limitative in what can be displayed.

You could sell that as a store sign, small led's could be used to light it up at night.

You can just buy this online. It's usually used for things like bus terminals and train stations though because the noise is pretty annoying
