Annette Bening's performance was phenomenal, she disappears into a role and you literally don't recognize her. Jodie brings the tension, without that Nyad would just seem manic.

Finally saw NYAD this weekend, As a huge fan of these incredible actresses, I already knew the performances were going to be off the chart. What surprised me was the story, how emotional and engrossing , totally unexpected. At the end, I found myself crying so hard I couldn’t believe how much I was moved by this inspirational story. Thank you ladies! Thank you Diana and Bonnie! Thank you directors! And thank you producers and Netflix for bringing this to the screen.

Dearest Jodie, i heard something profound in this clip, that you’ll never even read this and know how much it meant to me: you said @3:13-ish, “Act of Love.” But what i FIRST heard moved me. I heard, “Active Love.” I re-wind and then hear you said Act of Love. But it means so much to have Active Love for someone, some thing, some point in time, some gesture, some commitment in which we can all have ACTIVE LOVE.

I love Jodie Foster - she is like a teenager even as she is now reaching her 60s. I want to be Jodie Foster when I grow up! Annette Bening less so. I thought Annette Bening was so patronising in this interview to the amazing Jodie Foster, who is a much better actress throughout history of film.

Its so much more....its for all humans to remember who they are and that the spirit is within us to make "good" happen.. We are all one and should support each other. The world goes a wrong way......so much violence....but the more people come out with this spirit....the Go(o)d can get stronger again and there could be Peace.....its a decision.....

I love both of these great actresses, but they need to give it a rest. They've done so many interviews and talks and q&a's (usually just the two of them) about this movie... like enough already. They're trying so hard for that Oscar.

They did a great job, but Nyad was not a likeable person. Her self-proclaimed achievements have not been formally recognized. Probably lots of reasons for that, but I came away from the movie not caring if she was successful or not.
