Ok the black modular thingy behind the cluster system is for the keyless key fob (lock unlock) plus instead of tape over the lamp out, while you have the dash torn apart. Just remove the bulb. I'm getting ready to do the same...

I used to be an auto mechanic. I can't stand how many modern designs are "forced" on the owners of the car like this. Things like automatic lights, backup alarms, seatbelt alarms, passenger air bag alarms, oil change alarms, etc. I would rather have an older car than a newer one with all these dummy features. RKE is remote keyless entry.

Think about it this way, the small things you would rather have & it would have been 5x more difficult if you were married. She will definitely force you to check-in for chemo. We need a "THANK GOODNESS I AM NOT MARRIED" poster on our wall. It really does make a difference in terms of peace of mind. Then these small little things we could figure out for ourselves. Learning a new skill have never been this easy if I were married.

I found my issue. Finally, after almost everything, I gave up and replaced the front turn signal lamp sockets and it finally stopped!! I am not a fan of the parts cannon, but at some point, you need to pull it out. I replaced tail light boards as mine looked trashed and housing were cracked, that didn't fix it, so I tool out IPM, tore it down and cleaned a lot of corrosion on the board layers and the FCM connector, fixed a short in it and threw epoxy at it. After that, I was 100% confident it was solved... nope! Still did it, only when parking lights and turn signal is on... finally tried the front sockets and all good now. I even contemplated lifting the whole damn lighting system off of the FCM/IPM and making my own with relays and tapping the headlight switch. But the thought of chasing it all down to get the high beam switch and the turn signal indicators on the guage pack would have been hell, I'm sure.

Spot on. Had the same problem with my 04 3500. Mine has a problem with the RT frt. turn signal. Replace plug with new one form Mopar still had the problem. Turn signal still doesn't always work but no more annoying frigging dinging!!!! Thanks

My friend bought the key fob with the remote start that didn’t come with his trucks options and guess what it worked so that module works for all the options for that year !

Have the same problem..mine is a brake light that goes out every now and then...wiggle the bulb and the lamp out disappeared...

The 02s had that annoying lamp out chime too, whoever bought vehicles before dodge decided to put that in consider yourself very lucky!

Newer vehicles are a pain. Even to just replace the plugs you have to take top of engine off. I miss my '73 Olds Cutlass S. Just don't miss the finicky carbs.

I had the same problem. Replaced the circuit board in the rear tail light assembly. Problem solved

It is so common to have sensors less reliable than the items being monitored. Often times I'd rather have none of those monitors. I do like gauges, but the idiot monitors are more trouble than they're worth.

Is there a fuse you can remove so the like coming thing coming on blinking all the time is there a few you can remove

Oh jesus H Christ, I have tht SAME annoying indicator. Doesn't tell you which one, just "lamp out". 2002 Ram 1500. That cluster comes out with only 8 screws. My original went out and had to replace it with one from the junkyard.

This is pretty funny. For an 03.5 or 04 it has an updated master cab controller also called a FCM computer. In 03 and earlier it already comes with it. Dodge part 56049681AB A - then you take to dealer and have turn off lamp warning. I drove behind dealer abs bribed a tech with a $20 took 5 mins. That computer is under hood behind the fuse panel next to battery.

Dodge is the worst. I have a low mileage (115,000) 2007 Cummins. Already needs ball joints plus several front end parts. And the chime dings (lost communication with radio) and the dealer says they can't fix it. Never buy a Dodge again.
